cr.LP being +2 on block.
More 1 frame of blockstun on Cosmic Heel(still worse than Super) and better hitbox to hit crouchers.
EX ST with lower body invencibility from 4~7 (maybe until 8) frames. It will be a good AA and still be a crappy Reversal.
Fix dem hard-to-blockables.
Not exactly important, but would help a lot: Damage and U2 back to Super.
With these changes Vega would be ready to win majors, while still being the worst characater while knocked down. Which is pretty much the character design.
Vega cr.LP is retarded. You just can’t pressure people with that. If they mash their jab they will trade and if you are point at point blank they can just throw you out of your jab pressure. cr.MK has way too much pushback to keep pressure on people. And people generaly ask for I-frames on ST, which is dumb. I am claiming lower body invul that starts when the active frames begin, which will greatly improve the ANTI AIR propriety of the move. And not to be used as a get-out-of-me Reversal, which is pretty much what people generally ask.
And Meteo2, just because you got at top 8 in a major and lost because a lot of negative edge SHC came out doesn’t means that Claw doesn’t need buffs in order to win majors. It means that your opponents didn’t knew the matchup as well as they could/you outplayed them a lot.
Take away the Neg-edge issue on SHC, revert nerfs given as of Super onwards, keep buffs. Put BHC back to not having the launcher because I LOVED that thing when it just went straight for the wall with no dilly-dallying.
Job done.
If you just have that and the higher tier characters like Cammy get nerfed, then it balances itself out, trust me. Because obviously the better characters in theory SHOULD get nerfed. Their nerfs combined with Vega being put back to Super standards would even it out IMO.

I had that shit thrown at me at Evo and it wound me up because you literally just belittled someone’s skill as a player. Vega has been in this game since Vanilla. Bullshit you don’t know the matchup. It’s not like Vega’s changed like, at all over the past 3 games either.
Give us back SSF4 Vega, hell give me SF4 Vega back.
If you think about it objectively, what SSF4AE Vega lacks in terms of offense, as shown by your wants of +2 cr.lp
SSF4 Vega gives in terms of offensive mix up ability while standing anywhere in the stage, and its even more effective when the enemy is cornered.
If you have access to both, you don’t need another Vega with pointless changes that do nothing to address the issues he has.
And it gives true dynamicism to the game by creating many new match ups, and bringing back real aggressive zoning, mix ups, traps, or defense. While keeping mix up characters relevant.
My only real wish is not getting nerfed, anything else they give, ill take.
If they give us nothing, then i wish our bad matchups dont recieve too many buffs

Its not news to anyone that if you won is because you outplayed them. Claw players need much more work in order to win. If you know the matchup more than your adversary… you are more prepared, you are better.
And no. People don’t know the Vega matchup as well as they could. Just because he is on the game since Vanilla doesn’t mean shit. People don’t know the Elf matchup as well, neither Hakan’s (he is in since AE, but it has been years from his release). CENSORED
When people lose VS Claw there almost always will be something that they could have done about it - whitout the need to guess right.
When Claw lose is pretty much because they just jumped. And there is nothing that he could have done. Guess right doesn’t count.
APEX is probably the easiest major, and it doesn’t have anything to do with how I feel. I honestly think Vega is an awesome character with his strengths and weaknesses, and its fine for him to have a few bad matchups. He goes 5-5 with almost every character and he can certainly do very well at the highest levels. He has all the tools he needs to do well in mid to low A-tier which is a pretty comfy spot. I would rather see the devs create some worse matchups for the likes of cammy/akuma etc haha.
But ok ok, I’ll ask for some actual buffs if not for the sake of staying on topic.

+1 hitstun on cr.MK: cr.MK cancels more forward than cr.MP, but this will cause cr.MK cr.MK cr.MP combos to possibly be OP
+2 hitstun on cr.LP: again, makes confirming INTO cr.MK possible for a closer EX.walldive, but cr.LP links become braindead
extend downward hitbox of EX.FBA’s knee (again), could possible make some “I cant believe that shit touched me from there” moments
alternative:
extend downward hitbox of df.HK and give it more blockstun to give us a stronger tactic vs crouchers

Anyway, we are trying to make a list with buffs for everyone (bar the top), and for Vega I talked with Emersion and I got some ideas from him. This is how Vega buffs look for now:
cr MP: +10 dmg (70)
FBA: faster speed.
cr. HP: Way better hitbox, to stop far/bad jump ins. (trades or gets straight out beaten now) C.hp is pretty much useless now, except for gief and hawk
PPP backflip: way faster
reduce the recovery with 10 frames (55) - make it like a one way akuma teleport basicly, could add a still risky but viable wake up or escape option for vega.
Sky High Claw: - Faster speed,
way improved hitbox
make a non EX version that can hit crouchers (like the diagonal super turbo one)
make it a lot safer on whiff.
remove the abilitty to activate SHC with negative edge
Cosmic Heel: Improve upward hitbox, making confirming ultras on REALLY dumb jumps possible and makes it better to catch jump outs.
EX FBA Izuna: +10 dmg (190)
so, what Vega players think of this ? like it ? want something else ? would want to trade a buff for other thing ? I personally enjoy these buffs, I think they would make Vega more interesting to play.
Sky high claw buffs (except removal of negative edge) and cosmic heel buffs are more “fun” changes i cooked up lol , it would not add anything to vega in a balancing/meaningfull way, except having a little more fun with those moves.
No matter how much sky high gets changed it will forever be shitty i think.
Meteo’s CH changes are more meaninfull for the character instead of the offchance of CH to ultra increasing.

I feel like a way better ppp flip would be very interesting to have! still punishable if foreseen, but not “oh look at him, he is flipping let me walk/dash along with him and sweep” punisable. I mean only 5% of ppp flips go unpunished as it is… its a terrible move.
And getting Super cosmic heel frame advantage back will never ever happen i think, but it is a nice wish i guess.
I’d like better recovery on CH block and hit so U2 can be done more easily… At least other chars have jump in > ultra…
And revert back to super I guess. Especially U2 startup, there was really no need to nerf that.
Can’t think of any right now but why nerf a character that isn’t top tier in the first place. Jeez, not so smart move.

That would be an awesome idea, sort of just like Gen’s EX Gehiro. And Claw would still have no reversal, but at least one good aa. I like it.
Aside of +1 on that, my personal whish list :
— cLK buff : enough range to combo on standing after cLP cLP, and if not, +1 hitstun. To make it worth it. Atm, almost nobody uses it aside of crouch teching .
— Less whiffs/failed combos on LP-RCF first hit : after cMP, for example, or cLP x3, or cLP cLP cLK. What’s the point in it being useless at a range where we’re supposed to be strongest ?
— Make KKK and PPP flips reversabl****es. It’s pitiful seeing Claw players being destroyed at wake-up just by betting on the wrong tool, despite of guessing right.
— And +50 stun would be great too. I mean, Claw defense is already horrible, no need to make him to stun faster than a girl.
Well… with that and EX ST lower body invulnerability, that would be enough for me to be perfectly happy with. =)
If anything, un-nerf the Vega’s U2. Why they felt the need to nerf it baffles me completely. Also make his BnB not whiff on Chun Li. Make it so people can’t mash out of mp and hp RCF.
Other than that, Vega is fine.
Also lol at you people wanting a cr. lp frame buff. They just nerfed his cr lp in sf x t. Do you really think they’re going to buff it in this game?
… shouldnt it be “upper body” invul if u want it as an AA? Low body invul means it’ll beat lows >__>

Make the Roll’s hitbox a bit further so stuff like c.lp>c.lp>c.mp xx lp roll is a legit blockstring like SFxT.
make LK ST 1 or 2 frames faster for better/easier AA’ing
Safer c.HK
Faster FBA and/or fake FBA (like in HDR). Less recovery overall
Make the Flips NOT worthless pls
