Mike - Of course my gripes with your play style is merely pure unadulterated jealousy. I’m simply stuck in a scrub mentality. I know that you could conceivably bait an opponent into repeatedly standing up and hitting them with a billion low pokes and it would be effective at winning. I just can’t bring myself to do things like that. If I I could, but trick my brain into actually subscribing to the concept of “do anything to win” but it doesn’t seem to work lol.
But I suppose if I could learn to win my way I’d be that much better…muahahaha:blush:
Dayton to Cincy isn’t that bad, and Skeez makes the trip like every other day, so whether or not they’re technically local, they’re still pretty close. And, I doubt anybody from Dayton except Skeez wants to put up money for the tournament, since they don’t even give him money to drive them usually, as he’s said.

Ok, first of all, GGz to everyone I played tonight. No offense to those I lost to, but I really don’t feel like I was playing well today except for in the tournament. It could be just because the comp was a little stiffer tonight and I’m not where I need to be yet, which I know is true, but I feel like I could have at least had some closer matches. There were some moves I was forgetting to use, and some I wasn’t using right. I don’t feel like I was using db3 as much or as well as I usually do, along with some other stuff, and then when I did remember to try and implement some stuff I was forgetting to use, it was just like I was throwing it out for no reason without setting it up. Still Phil says I’ve gotten better, but I don’t think he’s seen my since the first time I played. Also got sidestepped a LOT today, and I need to know when to expect it, and what to do about it, AND how/when to do it myself.
Dwayne, good meeting you. I’m not entirely opposed to putting up money for a tournament, and if that’s what everyone decides, then that’s fine, but there are a lot of people that are just getting into the game for br, and they’re gonna feel like they’re just giving the money away, and then they’ll stop showing up, and then the scene won’t thrive like we want it to. I think it’s better to be concerned about the numbers than the money right now.

Chris, (steve/miguel) good job in our grudge match. You steamrolled me. I don’t see why you consider yourself such a bad player, or why you get down on yourself when you lose. If you think you’re bad, then you shouldn’t get upset when you lose to someone good. If you don’t think the people you’re losing to are good, then that’s reason to be upset. Conversely, you may believe deep down that you’re good, but then get upset when you lose to other good players, because you think you can beat them. All I’m saying is be consistent. If you get upset when you lose, believe you’re good. If you think you’re bad, it shouldn’t be a big deal when you lose. I don’t think you’re that bad at all.

So no doubt, 2 on 2 was hella fun. I talk to pretty much everyone and agreed that we should do these at least once a month and with random/ rotating teams every time. Good games especially to everyone me and Frankie played in the tourny especially Skeez and Derrick, who gave us a run for our ‘fun’ lawls.
Frankie: Nice work partner. We definately worked well together and Drag definately did his job. I especially enjoyed the throw buffering, being the throw whore I am.
Dwayne: Awesome stuff with Hworang and Feng as always. Your wall pressure with Hworang is too good. No problems about the IC card.
Matt: I definately did like how much you have improved between games, keep at it and damnit I better see FC,db,d,db+1+2 next time from you.
Kam: Impressed you stuck with Jin all night and also started your IC card with him, nice work. I might ask you to help me record his new moves video next time I see you. Baek wants a rematch next week as well.

IC Card Update:
Ok so I looked at the place more carefully and I realized that the discount applies from 10 cards onwards so technically there is no 10 card limit. What this means fight fans is as long as you are willing to pay for more then one card, you can have more then one card. Happy days. If we get 16 cards at $5 a pop, we will cover shipping and handling completely (see below).
So who wants more then one?
Also I check shipping and handling and it is $8 for the package of 10 plus cards so I figure $5 a card is more then fair (plus we were paying $7 a card). Also shipping will take 9-11 days since it is coming from Hong Kong
