ugh capXtek looks stupid so far. why does it have the same cinematics for the ultras cuz capcoms fuckin lazy. i hope that its just gonna be that way till they new ones animated. maybe they just used them for now to show the game. i hope. but knowing lazy ass capcom it will just be super4 with tekken characters which is gay. new games need to be new games, not remakes of other games.
edit: updated the op with new names and arcade legacy’s website. and changed title to something a lil more appropriate for the times.
I hope those 2 hit combos into ridiculously long cinema scenes, stay in the final build.

SF vs Tekken looks good to me. Nice to see Kazuya represented with all his staple moves (uf+4,4,4- 1,1,2- f,n,d,df+2- Hell even b+2,3,4,1 got some love) and Nina did the first hits of her 10 string into a multi throw.
SF characters look like they are based on their IV build but that really doesn’t affect me cause I don’t see myself using any of them. It’s just me personally. I only use SNK characters in CvS, X-Mens in XvSF.
It’s be a minute before it comes out but so far, so good.
LOL I wonder if this is going to make IV players play Tekken… I doubt it tho.

I think the game looks pretty good honestly. The faster you make the SF4 system, the better imo. Vanilla was garbage, I think we can all agree to that after having this much time with Super. A game playing like a faster Super would be even better, since Capcom doesn’t like mixup that’s not throw or jump-in based.
Only thing I see goofy would be the Tekken chars jumping normals and specials…I don’t even think Kazuya used one in the gameplay vid…That and figuring out Supers…
I’d also worry about every Tekken char being rushdown/grappler rushdown type. I never pictured Kayuya as the type of char to have moves that go through fireballs…but there it is because he doesn’t actually have a fireball to match up with a shoto. From the early, early EARLY vid…the game looks good but I’ll be holding my breath on this one.
I don’t agree with using SFIV’s engine or models. While I don’t hate Super as much as vanilla, these are the ugliest iterations of the SF characters to date I hate Hulk Ryu and Man Hands Chun. The Tekken characters even in this game look much better than the SF’s. You people with exaggerated features, in the same game as people with more natural figures. It looks like a Mugen. Secondly, SFIV’s engine has this lag/under water feel to it, things don’t feel as natural as the full 2D SF’s. That really doesn’t work with Tekken either.
But chain combos = hell the fuck yeah.

Say What’s Real? The Calm? Whether you like him or not you’re CATEGORIZING HIM WRONG. That album was as experimental as you could get.
Anyway people can like what they want, but when they have no good reason not to like who they don’t like that bugs me. That mentality of if it’s mainstream it’s garbage, that shit bothers me.
Diego - That really isn’t how it happened. The match that Mike was there you picked that team strait up. But I’ll just say it like this big bruh: go hard every match. I may talk a good game but at the end of the day I’m trying to get better because Marvel is fun to me. It took me gettin my ass whooped 40 times in a row by Derrick before I assimilated a decent amount of Silver Samurai knowledge, and watching you and Chase has made me realize I like Felicia. Can I get around top tier/god shit? No, I don’t know all that shit yet, but I want to find out.
Street Fighter vs. Tekken looks great as far as Kazuya and Nina are concerned. But the 4 characters…look like they were pulled strait from 4, fuck that noise. Kazuya looks AWESOME tho.
Can anyone really fault Capcom of all companies for pulling models from games of the same engine? How long did they use Morrigan’s sprite? At the end of the day it might end up being a disappointment but you can’t say it’s not a step in a good direction. Personally I’d like to see another Namco X Capcom but here you’e got experimentation and in a time where people hate to experiment this looks good. Now to see how it works on the other engine…
im not so much mad at the sprites thats ok i can understand that but with how cinematic supers/ultras are becoming the more it needs changing. how long am i gonna have to see ryu’s ultra 1 animation. if they are gonna be cheap and reuse sprites then at least give us new animatins for the bigger moves. is that too muuch to ask…probably
well remember… theres gonna be two different games. Capcom vs Namco ( SF4 version) and Namco vs Capcom ( Tekken version) Im sure namco is just going to take their models and throw them right in just like SF did.

I noticed the techroll too. It’s not gonna be exactly like 4. Remember this build is super super early so hella shit might change between now and the next time we see some gameplay footage.
That’s fine because Tekken 6 looks light years beyond SFIV. Also, we might get some visually pleasing SF characters out of this deal.
I’m more excited about Third Strike online
Just make the games good, Capcom and Namco, please. I’d like some more appealing SF characters also. A return to the Alpha type of art style would suit me very well, or even a re-imagining of all the characters in a TvC/MvC3 way.
Third Strike Online sounds very, very cool. I always want any new fighting games to have the BB:CT quality of online play. For most of the matches I ever played, that stuff was extremely smooth.
Random hype for T6 ranbats! And for TvC! TvC needs at least 6 interested ppl for a regular ranbat round robin.
tvc ranbts would be awseome nathan but our tvc scene is pretty much me, you, adam and alex the past few weeks ive noticed some new ppl that ive never seen before playin tvc but they didnt know what they were doin.
3s online is bittersweet for me. Will it cause a revival, I doubt it. The curve is just like MVC’s, which means a fair amount of people will d/l it for the first few months, and then it’ll die again. Re-releasing MVC2/HDR did nothing but piss the original community off, and HDR was really the only game to bring in a few new players. Still, the OG’s prefer ST and the Dreamcast port of MVC over this new stuff. I’m just hoping the net code is better than GGPO’s so I’ll at least get a few good matches in.
Edit: Also Keith, Zach said he’d play if it were a ranbat game, and I’m sure other people would hop in, just cause its a free tournament. As long as we have enough for round-robins or something, I’m happy.

In terms of the new Street Fighter vs Tekken game, it looked pretty cool how they transitioned everything 4 the Tekken characters in2 the Street Fighter universe, but I’m still waiting 4 the other version w/ Tekken being used as the main engine & see how that pans out. I hope that shit is good. :tup:
