I’d prefer the “I’ll head up the pokemon league” game. But on the other hand I’m always down for third strike… Anyone here into racing games? (looks at inital D, forza, and PGR.)
But from someone who has played video games professionally outside of just a local scheme, I’d highly recommend trying to avoid massive confrontations like what’s happened in this thread. People aren’t always going to get along but the only way to get actual recognition is to do stuff that matters and will make the community better. Just running a tournament isn’t going to do to much. However being a stand up guy and pulling new people into fighting games and really helping new players out to better build the community will make the most difference. Then getting people down to the tournaments and fight nights. Any personnel arguments really hurt this and the image of the community. I’m not trying to keep the thing snowballing I’m just stating my viewpoint after having quite a bit of experience with different gaming communities and going along with that a partial first impression. Having AL’s new location it’s a lot more inviting to actually ask to get on some sticks since it’s not nearly as crowded. (oh and the 3S!)

It’s not that we don’t recognize what obviously hurts the community, it’s just that this is the way certain people in the community are, and when you try to talk to them to get them to not be this way, it starts more beef, which is what you are trying to get rid of in the first place.

As for racing games, could we do a thing for best time on Initial D at the end of the ranbat season? I don’t know.
Oh I’m sure it will, I was simply giving my feedback as I’m just now becoming involved in the scene instead of just lurking.
I’m totally down for an Initial D time attack. Could do a best time each week then a special award for who has the fastest time at the end of the ranbat. I’m also hoping to be giving the game a once over and figuring out the steering wheel centering issue they have.
I’d rather play an snk game for a ranbat then 3s because of Chun li. -__-

@Slayer: Salamence does not need to be banned. If you want to ban salamence how about banning metagross. Because hes way more ridiculous than salamence is. Being that neither of them are even that ridiculous in the first place, Just overall good pokemon.

I got the Samurai Shodown collection on PS2. I got Last Blade 2 also. Hell I believe I have all of the SNK games Jesse mentioned lol. I don’t have those 3D KoF games though. I don’t believe in them lol. Ya’ll know I’m down to get down in the world of SNK baby!

Also, I actually won some games playing online last night. (Hey it’s a first I’m excited). I even hit around 500 BP. I’m just starting to connect the wires on “bait and punish”. But my punishes need to be more reliable. Improving my anti-air has made a huge difference in my game also.
Project Justice, TVC, or 3s. I may not make the ranbats this season either, from both lack of interest in the line up and potential employment interferences.

I’m going ahead with the various SNK ranbat for the 5th game. I’ll start with Garou since it’s been in the cab and people have been playing it a bit in the last couple weeks. I’m going to go through my MVS carts and then make a final decision on the lineup. Put in your final suggestions today to sway me if you have a game you’d like to see in there.

You could select any version of any character that was ever made, against another in the SamSho universe.
Lots of broken matchups. Just like Hyper Fighter SF. CE Bison was terrible to fight against in that game.
Oh what about Backgammon, Bridge, or Don’t Wake Daddy (The only game about implied domestic abuse!)
