They were OK not better than 2 but they were fun though.
So anybody know any game nights going down? I only work Thursday and Saturday this coming week and would like to actually play a fighting game or hell maybe even pokemon if I can fight my top screen. Hell I’d play some Golden Axe or something.

I dont know. I think, that 6 pokemon should always be allowed In singles, But in doubles id say thats a different story so 4 sounds fine with me. Though I think you guys should go look up other rule sets. I went to a few pokemon tournies back in E/D/P days and they had actual good rule sets. There are other tourney rules that allow six and a different number OU’s and UU’s.
Im glad you guys cited sleep/item clause as a plausible rule.
Heres some rules and things that should be addressed if you gonna run a PKMN touurney.

[]Sleep Clause - The most common and important clause. It means that only one Pokémon aside can be asleep. Pokémon who fell asleep with the most Rest are excluded from this. Also, If you have one Pokémon asleep, and the trait “Effect Spore” activates, and picks sleep, you still fall asleep.
[]Freeze Clause - Another very important clause, although it isn’t mandatory on Smogon. Like sleep clause, it means that only one Pokémon a side can be frozen. And unlike sleep clause, there are no exceptions to this clause
[*]Self-KO Clause - This clause covers two things. First, when your and your opponent have only one Pokémon left, if you use Explosion, or Self-Destruct, you automatically lose. Also, if you use Destiny Bond, with your last Pokémon, and your opponents last Pokémon faints you, you still lose. This clause was made to stop matches from ending in a tie.

You should also put some kind of a usage number or lock on moves like:

So that they arent just like abused and misused to the point of not being able to stop said pokemon that uses one of these.

Keith you im always know im down for playing just about anything that I tried to learn previously. I dont think I remember anything in KOF12, but ill definitely play a bit.
I pretty much will play anything that everyone else is playing AKA SF4 but it would be nice to see some branching out. There were alot of new players I haven’t seen before playing 3s at PU2010. Hopefully this KOF13 meets expectations and BBCT makes Tager somewhat competitive and I can start playing that again. SS5S needs to get played.
As far as Pokemon goes just go with Smogon tourney rules they’ve been undermining Nintendo’s crappy official rulesets for awhile now and even made NetBattle and ShoddyBattle invaluable tools for practice, I say just go with those.
PFFFFT. Why is this community so discouraging of originality? I think one uber is fine, it makes things more interesting, as long as it isn’t fucking Arceus (who should always be banned from everything). I use a really interesting team (Mewtwo/Dragonite/Jolteon/Articuno/Lapras/Machamp) that uses one uber and is awesome. The only thing I use Mewtwo for is putting up double screen, then I self destruct his dumb ass. I know other people won’t use ubers in the same way, I’m just saying, I think having one encourages creativity.
Looks like there needs to be a pokemon scene also.There are ALOT of people who are pokemon competitive people, that play fighters right under our noses.

If Ubers were allowed in OU then we’d have another Garchomp on our hands. Yeah you can deal with him but it ends up destroying half your team in the process because it’s just so good that sorta takes the fun out of things. Ubers are Ubers because well you really wouldn’t want to take on a Kyogre/Manphy combo in anything other than Ubers if you ask me.
I’m from Cleveland but I’d with out a doubt be up for some Pokemon if you all started playing.
Yo, Im wondering if Im thinking the same tourney in my mind. The dude took our entree fee money but wouldn’t switch it to freeplay and said it was cancelled due to “lack of interest”, so matters were takin into the hands of the peeps that DID show up? And a very, small tourney did in fact happen.
We have like a good 6 people or so that play regularly now. Next Thursday, me and Slayer KFK were going to approach Jesse and ask him about having Pokemon tournaments at AL. Maybe start a league. So yeah, we’re going to start playing 
Im glad I decided to jump back on. I know off hand me and friend of mine are very notorious around here for pokemon. Ill talk to him and get him to come out of retirement.

Pokemon League would be awesome. I don’t know enough about Pokemon to get the ball rolling, but whomever wants to head it up can get with me about it. I wonder how many serious Pokemon players we could pull out of the woodwork?
My new cab ships tomorrow but it’s coming from CA so it might not make it for this week’s fight night. Most definitely for the opening day fight night though.
