Game doesn’t need Sentinel, Storm, Magneto, and Cable to be cheese. It’s based on easy-mode Marvel AKA TVC. That’s cheese enough. That game doesn’t even need strategy, nor is it situational or requires quick thinking. Just blind combos until a mix-up hit, into the same combo, rinse repeat.
Anyway, with the interest of everyone, it’ll be interesting to see whether Marvel players or TVC have an edge in this. Hopefully Doom can still lock-down, Proton chunks and fly. If that’s the case, I ain’t too worried. If Tron still has that crazy ass assist, ohhhhh my god. GAAAAME OVAAAAAHHHHH!!!
Also this. Soon as the perfect keepaway is found, that’s what I’m playing. No rinse repeat combos here.
Dormammu will definitely be a part of this kind of team.
From what I have seen, Deadpool seems likely to be included in this as well.

TVC has very little cheese outside of guaranteed unblockables in some situations and some heavy damage combos (which are also very situational). Advance Guard + Counter-assist get you out of offensive barrages, not to mention make some characters (Tekkaman Blade) very unsafe. The game seems to have some aspects of zoning that Marvel had, but nothing seems to fill the entire screen like Cable/Spiral with Sent assist can. Blind combos? Not really, watch some of Royal Flush’s channel, especially Phampy, he does very situational and smart combos. Not like MVC2 didn’t have its share of rinse and repeat combos too (Sent to Storm DHC, Storm LA to super etc.)

haha diego that just goes to show you how little you know about tvc. adam is right about how little the cheese is. if any game has bullshit in it its mvc2 what with all the block string lock downs and infinites. and what you call rinse and repeat combos is just efficent effective rushdown. so just go ahead and keep talking about things you dont know anything about cuz it entertains me.
and tron might have her assist but it wont be as broken damage wise but it still might be a combo continuer(sp?) so i wouldnt worry about

o ya i didnt even think about guard breaks…some of them are hard to do in mvc2s defense but ya…cables is bullshit out of everyones

spiderman actually looks cool too i wasnt a big fan in the previous marvel titles and i prob still wont be but they def made him fun to watch.

A couple of cats I know from the Chi said that Trish/doom/ is a runaway’s dream. You can super jump and spam projectiles and barely drop.

Yeah Trag has some great combos on his youtube, sadly not for every character. I’m still trying to get down some of his Batsu combos, harder than they look.

I’m gonna crash at a friends place on OSU’s campus too btw if you can’t find anywhere else you can join.
adam have you been workin on batsus jumping b loops as well as his tked dive kicks. his b loops are really easy to do but a lil difficult to set up considering you need to connect a forward c to start the combo off. you can do this off of a lot of assist. im sure you can do it of of sokis assist as well although i dont have any evidence to support it but anything that puts them in a state that will put them off the ground after the next hit
I’m still not sure about Soki, I may try using Jun’s assist to set it up, or Ryu. I’ll play around with a few characters and see what I can do. Right now I’ve just been getting the corner loops down.
