Well, after a few hours of burning myself with the soldering iron, Iāve converted the PS3 SE I had tried to dual mod before and have converted it over to work on PS2ā¦ mostly.
I canāt get Select or Square to work, Select for reasons Iāve yet to discover, and Square for the simple fact that the motherfucking wire wonāt stay soldered to the board and I think Iāve kind of jacked up the soldering point for that button anywayā¦ soā¦
BUT! The good news is I can still use every other button but square, and Iāve successfully played a few games just fine. I just have to make sure to set my buttons on the thing, and remind anyone who is borrowing it what buttons work and do not work. Iām kind of pissed it wasnāt 100% successful but whatever. I think Iāll just move the end point for the ground chain off that button, buy a button plug and just forget about that damned button all together!
Now onto things the rest of you might care about. Iāll be lugging around my newly fixed up stick with my ps2 and the usual trimmings to Sinclair for the start of the Spring quarter tomorrow. Sorry, Tatsunoko is taking a vacation because Uncle Bernie is back and its GG time, ha ha. No really though, working out a weekly rotation or some shit til SSFIV comes out. Anyhoo, if youāre free, drop on by!

I do have a nice fast PC that you guys can put whatever game on. It doesnāt work with PS3 sticks though. It has AMD processor that doesnāt handle PS3 sticks. Not sure about any kind of pads. Iāve heard I need some kind of card to make it accept the PS3 sticks. Anyone know exactly what that is? Iād like it to work with any stick.
@Skeez - Thereās no event Saturday but if anybody wants to come out for games, Iāll let you guys in for half price.
Pads with PS2 USBās should work. Iāve had that PC/PS2 thing I use on my PS3 for PS2 controllers for 8 years, through AMD and Intel. So, people would need 360 sticks or PS2/USB ones.
Iāll go ahead and set it up then.

Project Justice will be in tomorrow but probably not for a little while after that. Once the artwork is done for the showcase cab and we get it wired up, Iāll be able to pop it in there anytime. Jesse, you need a certain kind of PCI USB Card.
I have one if you want, it only cost me $5 bucks. I accidentally ended up with two when I ordered one for my PC. Just depends on if that tower has an open PCI slot.

Not to be overly dramatic or stupid but Iād like to take a minute and lament the temporary retirement of The Beast. After getting extremely frustrated at the constant problems I experienced with my SE mod, I took the board out of The Beast and put it in the smaller, more portable case. This means that until I go and do my dual mod for The Beast and pick up a good model of Perfect 360, it wonāt be coming out in the near future.

Hello thread. I live in Huber Heights and recently transferred to WSU. I have also attended Sinclair and am familiar enough with that college. I am near 70 so I can get to 75 and 675 fairly painlessly to attend anything around the Dayton area. Iād love to play live opponents instead of doing everything over Kalleria or PSN. Do you guys at WSU have any fairly regular meetings at regular times and dates?
