Hello everyone. I’m hailing from Florence KY. It’s nice to see that there is a fighting game scene around this area. I’m from Memphis originally and have been living here for over a year. Been looking for something like this for quite sometime. Games I like to play are SC 1 and 2. SF3 3rd Strike; and a little Tekken.
Definitly would like to gain experience again by playing offline and with real people.

I was just wondering; if there are any good fighting games at the Hamilton/Middletown Putt-Putts. It would worth the drive; if there were. Can anybody tell me? I could call the places; but I don’t think I would get a definitive answer.

You say u hail from Florence. Pretty cool man. I’m not 2 far from ya bro. I live in Newport, so I’m not 2 far away from Florence @ all.

I noticed you play Soul Calibur, 3S, & some Tekken. That’s awesome. :tup:

There’s definately ppl around here that play all these games plus more. I mainly play Tekken 5 & DR, but I can dabble in2 other fighters as well. I play some Soul Calibur as well, but I’m a lil outta practice, but I can get back in2 it though.

We have a whole big group of ppl here in this area that love 2 play fighters. I’d say we got about 10 - 15 peeps that play all sorts of fighting games, so competiton won’t be lacking 4ya, that’s 4 sure.

If ur down 4 playing some Tekken anytime, call me up. I’ll give u my cell# 2ya in a PM. We play Tekken @ a couple different places:

1: Gameworks @ Newport on the Levee every single Monday Night between 9:00 to 12:00. I work there so we can play some Tekken 5 there for free.

2: Every now & then, some of us play Tekken & SC @ my friend Kris’ house in Fort Wright. This is pretty fun as well.

3: About every month or so, all of us try 2 get 2gether @ my friend Derrick’s place in Fairfield, OH to have a Casuals Night in fighting games. We play a lot of games & usually get a good amount of ppl 2 head up there 2 play. (If you look @ some of the posts b4 this, you’ll see what we do & what I’m talking about).

We’re trying 2 get another Casuals Night set up 4 this Saturday Night sometime. Call me up or leave ur # in a PM 4 me & I’ll let u know what’s up.

However, everything seems 2 be intact 4 this weekend. We moved it 2 this Saturday August 11 since it seemed 2 be better 4 everyone that was wanting 2 get this together.

Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the tourny in Indy. I tried to get off that day but work said no. I’m planning on going to Seasons Beatings in October though. I shouldn’t have a problem getting that day off since it’s two months in advance I can put the request in.

Yeah im looking to come up there with NKI and some friends since i will have just gotten my license back, then after that im trying to schedule one in st. louis. Would love to see you guys come out so we can finaly start some mid west travel amongst ourselves and become strong competitors.

Wondering if any of you would be interested in a console tourny in St. Louis. I have a nice venue ready and now im just trying to get a show of heads so to speak. From stl alone we should have about 10 in each game, about 25 in tekken. Im thinking of holding the tourny in early december or january.

if your interested post in the stl thread, after a week or two of gathering interest and hyping up ill post an absolute date. Please post in the stl thread if your interested, im trying to make this a big one.

I can also house, likely up to like 15-20. Ask anyone whos stayed with me(ex Mycha Leonhart comes to my mind from cleveland), the hospitality is that of a **** four star hotel. So no paying for room. Only expenses will be tourny entry, gas, and food that isnt breakfast(as long as you stay with me, we be eating good in the morning before the tourny.)

If I had a car myself, I’d like 2 travel more myself 2 go 2 other tournies in other states, but 4 the time being, I’m kinda stuck. :lol:

I finally realized what you were telling me about Roger Jr. It was really loud in there and I couldn’t get really understand through the TVs being so loud. Yeah, if you couldn’t hear, here’s some of the stuff I was telling you about:

D/b&1&2, f,f&2. Great garaunteed juggle there that does 53 damage.

3&4, f&4,3,2. Nice lil juggle that does 50 damage.

3~4, d/f&4, 1&2, 1,2,3. This is a nice one that does 58 damage.

After you get knocked down & someone tries to rush in on ya & you trip them up w/ 3 from the ground, u/f&3&4 is garaunteed after that shit. That was what I was telling you about, but I think you couldn’t hear me. :lol:

Also, ur ss&4, d/b&3, u/f&3&4 was some good shit. Just work on the time for the last hit, & that shit will be garaunteed everytime. :tup:

Yo Sado, I live in Louisville, in the Highlands area. What part of Louisville do you live in? I play Alpha 2, ST and MvC2. I’ll play just about anything, really if there’s someone to play with.

the arcades around louisville are SLIM PICKENS

Arcade Odysee, a guy named Ed (cool fella) owns an arcade restoring shop on Bardstown and Baxter Ave. right in between highlands and downtown kinda. not alot of fighting games, he usually does the older classics like pac-man tempest all those goodies. you can go in and play on his machines tho, bring your quarters.

theres a UMK3 machine set on free play at the body art emporium on Bardstown Road in the highlands.

Imperial arcades, owned by brothers, i know one his names jeff. they are basically a warehouse and they are never there, always making their runs and collecting their coins. they sold a beautiful custom MK4 machine couple years ago. HUGE screen, stretched control panel for space. AWESOME! you had to see it i guess.

anyways that about does it except for little spots here and there with a machine. couple resteraunts with pacman’s, time crisis, raiden 2, couple other goodies.

if you decide to come up sometime i can show off my KI cabby to ya. we can get some matches goin.

@Digital, lol im in the highlands right now in the library on the pc. hit my cell we can probably get together some time. theres some decent comp for ST and 3s around here somtimes, but mostly scrubby players i beat up on from time to time.

T4 is absolute trash imo. That’s not even a Tekken game 2 me. It’s essentially DOA w/ Tekken characters & moves in it. :lol:

Tekken Tag however is awesome. I love that game. I’d be down 4 playing that sometime. Let me know what’s up & we’ll try 2 get that going sometime.

Also, you should pick up DR nameingway, it’s very good, & 4 the most part, a well-balanced game.

yo i just moved to cincy from dayton to attend uc and there are no players that i can find on campus. i live on campus and i play mainly cvs2, mvc2, a little bit of 3s, and tekken. i am not that good at these games (i am still learning), but i am always looking for more people to help me train (i’m currently training for seasons beatings 2). since i live on campus the only games people in my dorm play are fps, and dragon ball z, and guitar hero. so if anyone is about getting together and playing some games i’m all about it. my email is djpsyfer@yahoo.com
