This tourney in St. Louis sounds very interesting. I’d definately like 2 go there & check this shit out! Sounds 2 good 2 just pass up. I’m plannin’ on doing the same thing this Monday as we did last Monday. Going 2 Derrick Legend’s place 1st for some DR casuals, & after that, heading over 2 Dave’s place 4 some more DR casuals. Ok so @FSgamer and Sluch, the weekend starting friday the 25th to sunday the 27th I want to set aside to play some games. Tennessee is kinda far to go for a tournament. Columbus and Cincinnati are much more doable for me. I just want to paly some casual games at an arcade or on console (as long as I can borrow a stick). Sluch, who are those players and how can I contact them?
they banned my other one for 6 months, apparently its illegal to sell a modded console in the trading post.
It’s understandable if you can’t come to the TN tourney, it’s a long drive from OH. Even Athens, OH to Campbellsville, KY (where I live) is kind of a long drive (5 hrs or so). Cincinnati would probably be the best place to gather everybody.
I’m without a car so, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make it to Ohio on that weekend, maybe if somebody from Cincinnati goes to the TN tournament we can work something out… I’ll see what I can do and I’ll let you know.

Zenfire, I have a good # of friends that play CVS2 & 3S here in Cincy. For CVS2, my boys Darius & Adam (Psyfer) love 2 play this game & they would be the best ones 2 get ahold of 2 get some comp in for this game. For 3S, a lot more ppl here in Cincy like 2 play this game. Luke (Yetighettoslang), Keith (Remyton Steele), Josh (jbeene), Derrick (Legend 2), & Diego are the ones u wanna get ahold of for 3S. The handles of those guys are in parenthesis in case u wanna PM them.
Quinna & Zenfire, u can do a couple things 2 best get ahold of these guys:
- Give them a PM & let them know what’s up & that u wanna get some games in. Not a bad possibility, but I don’t know how frequently these guys check the forums here on SRK, much less their PMs they receive.
- The best way I believe 2 get ahold of them is thru me. PM me w/ ur actual name & phone number & I’ll let them know personally who u r, what u play, when u wanna play, & since I’ll get ur number, I’ll give it 2 them so that they can give u a call & u guys could possibly set something up for whenever u want. If they’re cool w/ me giving u guys their numbers, I could do that as well, but I gotta talk 2 those guys 1st to see if that’s alright w/ them.

hey sluch could you explain to me in a couple sentences the main differnces between T5 on ps2 and T5DR on ps3?

Sado, 2 best sum up the difference in T5.0 from T5DR is that DR is a whole lot more balanced then 5.0. The best characters that were broke as fuck in 5.0 were toned down in DR like Steve, Nina, & Bryan. All the other characters either got new stuff 2 help them out in gameplay or had some of their broken shit toned down as well.
A main difference would be tech traps. 5.0 had all kinds of broke-ass garaunteed tech traps that did massive damage. Nina’s u/f&1 move known as Blaze Stinger would be one of the best examples. You could end any juggle w/ that & get free oki.
T5.0 was a hella fun game, but if u knew ur shit w/ any of the top tier characters & were damn good w/ them, u could tear a lot of shit up, whereas DR is a lot more balanced. It has it’s top tiers as well like Devil Jin & Heihachi, but just b/c ur top tier, doesn’t garauntee that u will win. Hope this helps u out bro. :china:

Sorry about that big Feng Wei kick yesterday in DR, but after a couple weeks of not playing well w/ him, I had 2 kick it up a notch. As far as TTT is concerned, I’m truly shocked I did as well as I did. I definately wanna start playing that a lot more now. Hella fun, that it was. :tup:

Yeah, it was crazy Phil. 1st u were tearing some shit up in the start of the night, then I was tearing some shit up later on in the night, & then we were both on our “A” game or something from then on out. It was like we were on a whole different level our last series, sorta like playing Tekken DBZ-style. Goin’ all Super-Saiyan & shit. :lol:
Plus, TTT was great 2 get back in2. For not playing in awhile, I’m amazed that I beat Darius in the series that we played & that I almost won in the series that we played in Phil. I guess I’ll just chalk that up 2 pulling shit outta my ass & trying 2 play TTT like how I play T5.0 & DR. Mike! I just mapquested the STL tourney location. It’s estimated at around 6 hours. Jimmy was wrong. I mean really wrong. But let’s not forget about sudden stops of some kind. With this new info we can plan our depature accordingly.
but yeah phil if you could teach me how to be a “true” king player that would be greatly appreciated (King was my main character for a long time, but it seemed i could never get passed what i like to call “fighter block”) so any info on King would be great, and hopefully next week i will do some mad damage when we play.
