Stop using her chain combo so much. It’s unsafe and easily punishable. Also her chain combo into super does like no damage so don’t do that either lol.
Not really. He was baiting fireballs at a distance where I could be easily punished with teleport. Plus I was experimenting with different counters to a teleport, like dash underneath, c.HK. Once I starting catching on he starting baiting me with some same side teleports and I was iffy as to whether or not I should try to cover some ground because of a same side teleport.
UEZ I definately am not someone to criticize (have yet to go to my first tournament, looking forward to it though.)
For a tip though I kind of was expecting you to be randomly doing the motion to dash into chun’s ultra, and just waiting for dhalsim’s fireball to hit the 3k to initiate it. He seemed to revolve around that bait with fireball & teleport technique, but i’m pretty sure you could ultra through those fireballs / when he would jump backwards.
No one is going to evaluate vs CPU games, buckle. In fact, playing against the CPU and taking what you know into real gameplay will get you killed. It’s really worthless, and I recommend you either play offline or gain experience by playing online.
buckle, from the 1 vid i did watch, it looks like you’re playing the cpu on easy/easier or easiest, the cpu was dumb as hell.
as magman said i don’t think anyone is going to actively evaluate you vs a cpu, but one way you can work on getting better w/o human competition is just to hammer in your combos in training mode, then put the game on hardest or second to hardest. this will at least force you to actually have to actively think, instead of doing random jump-ins and tenshokyaku combos i saw the one vid.
there’s plenty to work on in training, her links, her bnb’s, dash ultras, etc.
i do use training mode and i do play on hardest at times too. although the only real difference i notice in the cpu on hardest is that it loves to shoryu/ultra my tech grabs more often. i don’t think i’m missing a lot of my combos or having huge execution errors.
which one vid did you watch? i’m not looking for an evaluation or a pat on the back, i know i’m a scrub. i just want some suggestions like “at 0:49 you did this, it would have worked out better if you would have used this instead”
i know i need to work on my poke and punish games. but it’s hard to improve those things without a real person to play against.
since this is a good of place to ask as any, what is a good punish for bison’s knee press on block?
Hey guys I think you might find something interesting.
Go on Japanese sites like nicovideo or zoom and type in either “uraken” or if you need the katakana characters it’s “???” … should be used as the main search for his name. Also, I think this is most likely kanji but the search for Chun-Li should be "?? " . I’m not sure if these characters will work with the copy and paste if you don’t have the Japanese language pack installed to your computer, though.
Uraken’s style interests me, he’s a smart player. He mained Akuma in 3rd strike, and I’m pretty sure he mains Chun Li full time in this game. I posted this video before but uraken is the dark gray Chun player. http://zoome.jp/nsb/diary/104
If I’m reading that right, his name is “yasuda” … and he’s extra cool for using the color that I use. But the main point I picked this video for is the Chun vs Zangief match…he played it extremely well. I’ll try to find more videos of him if I can, but for now I’m out.
i wish these nagoya vids were on the youtubes, i can’t watch and study them at work during breaks =\
any other notable chuns on youtube i can search other than the standard nuki/nemo and vids from magman/azrael? i seem to have exhausted all the chun vids on youtube, and too bad kaqn only played her for such a short while.
Well…if someone can PM me and teach me how to record videos on the screen, like how people record youtube videos (don’t know if it will work for the videos on zoom), then I would try to record it and put them to my youtube.
edit: I liked how he didn’t ultra after EX legs, and went for the EX SBK. It looks like he saved the ultra to use as a weapon to limit Akuma later in the match, because the ultra more than likely would not have killed him. Excellent.
