Catwoman Chun scares the shit outta me
It’s not bad but Harle Quinn Cammy trumps it, imo.
Nurse Chun and Rose are pretty good. :lovin: It’s the first time I’ve seen those two. I haven’t been to that thread in a while.
Honestly Rosetta Stone is the shit… I have learned French with it. The only thing else to do is to compliment RS with some other learning tool, whether it be actual classes or book learning. But RS is something you will definitely need. It’s great.
I was screwing around and this one caught my eye. As per usual sorry if this one’s been posted.
Nemo lays waste to this rog.
Watch for the j.HK to Ultra at the end of the 1st round. I still can’t wrap my head around it.

that was an AWESOME instructional vid by nemo theres ALOT of good BASIC anti-rog shit in there if you know what to look for…
thx for posting that up, learned a couple of anti - rog tactics there.

^^No worries. There is a lot to absorb from that video for sure especially for a new Chun player like myself. One of the main things I would love to try and adopt from this would be Nemo’s anticipation of rogs specials. He sees them or knows they’re coming and moves out of the way. I find that I get caught in Rogs blocks strings and either thrown or miss an overhead / croutching block.

This is me vs my friend who is a really solid sim player he gonna be a problem in are little scene up here

Unfortunately my camera died while my buddy was going on a rampage on me with Blanka. But here’s a glimpse of it.

Focus dash cancel backwards those yoga fires to start building your revenge meter. Then you can Ultra his yoga fire attempts. When you did get close you did so by following your fireballs which if it works then great, but you gotta make it count by getting some real damage. Try ending your block strings with a fireball or hasan shu. Chun walks pretty fast but you might want to dash in a little more.
Sick Chun.
I’ve done this a few times by mistake. Thanks for the tutorial, I’ll defiantly be using this more often.
Hi, Im in desperate need of some help. First, Id like to start off by saying that I have been lurking on srk a few years now and it is thanks to you that I know what I know today. Unfortunately, Ive kind of hit a wall in terms of progression.
Its been a little over a week since Ive made it to G1 and havent really been progressing as well as id hoped. Im going to try to analyse the videos myself and see what I can learn from them on my own, but would really appreciate others opinion as well which is why Im posting here now.
I understand that my game play videos are not up to par with most of the awesome videos posted here, but would really appreciate if you could give them a brief look over. Any comment, be negative or positive will go a long ways towards helping improve my game.

Thanks

The way I’m going to do this is just type as I watch, so it will be in roughly chronological order.
Keep in mind this will be mostly criticism as I don’t think you came here to get a pat on the back. But after watching the vids, you’re not terrible so don’t feel bad.
First Match:
Random pokes, why?
Don’t whiff st.rh randomly, it has too long of a recovery.
Don’t guess on wakeup, be confident in your moves. EX bird can be easily baited and punished.
It’s online, so I can’t really comment on the missed tech opportunities.
Learn her anti-airs. Standing far strong is definitely not one of them.
Try to get short short EX legs down to where you can hit confirm the EX legs. If you just mash out EX legs from a short, it will waste a lot of EX stocks.
I’m going to assume from your groan at the end of the first round that you didn’t mean to ultra. I guess it worked out. :xeye:
Random pokes, please don’t.
Learn the range of her normals, and the height at which they hit at. You did standing roundhouse when the boxer was really close to you and ducking, leaving yourself really open.
Second Match:
Good ol’ Gief. Runaway Chun Li, runaway.
On blocked green hands: THROW towards the corner. Always (well not always but for 99% of the time).
If it’s to get out of the corner, try to time d/f RH on Gief before he gets up, because he can just crouch lariat and beat it.
Run away from the EX powerbomb! Just jump over him.
Good job recognizing you jumped in and dashing out of there before the Ultra came out.
Third Match:
Blanka.
cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.
cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.
cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.
cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.
cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.cr.jab beats out non-EX blanka balls.
Go in training mode and learn to punish his rainbow roll.
Don’t d/f Blanka on wakeup, he can just mash electricity to beat it.
Basically this guy is blanka balling at will, with no real reason to stop(Except for that ultra you got him with, nicely done).
I’m sure you would have won the second round if you knew about the cr.jab thing. Because really, this guy just ran all over you with the blanka balls.
Blanka’s Ultra blocking: low-high-low
All in all, you need to cut back on the random poking, because there’s really no point to it. If you’re whiffing the air, you’re just wasting time.
Other than that, work on knowing Chun-Li’s anti-airs, how they apply and work, when to use them, so on and so on.
More knowledge of the match-ups will help too.
Work on spacing, Chun is really dependent on keeping the opponent in a certain range from her.
Don’t be intimidated by rushing boxers or blankas who spam their dash attacks in the corner.
Practice practice practice.
Good luck and gg’s :smokin:
He knows that more blockstrings should be used. (See Pachi?)
You gotta utilize FAs a bit more in this matchup, they can come in handy when Sim is spamming limbs. Spent WAY too much time hiding in the corner. Learn to use her walk up speed, anticipate yoga fire and punish with Hasan. Once you get knockdowns, abuse blockstrings and like Raident says – focus on doing more Hasan and Kiko as a followup. I know you’re capable of this because we just finished playing earlier this evening.
don’t. be. afraid.
Dime: Nah, I’ll pass on this too – maybe MM will take a stab a it.
Thank you to Ark and all the others who watched. I will try and improve on every point mentioned, also try and be more active on the forums. Thanks again
Ignore this, have update.
Game unicon tourney live stream, jwong, marn, sanford, etc…
Spacing that can only be refered to as God like. Nuki vs a Viper in the opening rounds of Gods Garden. This video just went up. I have never seen any SF4 video with any character where the spacing was so flawless, against a viper nonetheless.
