2:07 - this isnt chun stuff but did anyone see this? retarded sick

Hahaha! Bet he wont make that mistake again! :stuck_out_tongue:

Any tips for Chun-Li. Anyone want to PMme or something with something about something? Thanks.

I’m no Chun expert but some basic stuff.

Learn some of her basic combos, such a waste when you’re doing like 3-4 cr.lp. No love for target combo either, a few safe opportunities to do some better damage when you were airbourne.
Needs more pokes, needs more bait.

Criticism welcomed. I was missing a lot of my sc.mp AA and it got me raped a bunch. Haven’t gotten the range as second nature yet.

Very nice, very clean Chun. The skill gap was way too huge for a Grand Finals match, however. Not much you needed to adjust to :arazz:

I really love this match with Chun-Li:

Enjoy.

This vid is very old… the game has evolved from that…

EDIT: LOLOL @ Daigo eating a random kikoken for the loss in round 1. This is a very old video. This match has to be a joke… is that reall Daigo? Rofl.

From what I saw, it seems as thou your game is lacking a bit of offensive pressure. I know that an aggressive Chun is usually considered a suicidal one, but some offense wouldn’t hurt. Try cancelling some of those well time pokes you throw out into hazan shu every once and a while or even use fa to get in on your opponents. You may know this already but chun gets frame advantage even off a blocked level one which enables you to go into mix ups. In the end s.strong can only due so much damage.

Other than your poke, spacing/zoning and AA are game pretty good. Hopefully you?ll find this useful. Keep up the good work

That’s actually a very good point you bring up. My biggest problem is giving too much respect and I just let up the pressure. That and whiff punishing missed pokes. I’m so slow when it comes to that.

I have seen some good thing, perhaps you rush a little more though.

Good thing to note :
At 00 : 09, after your throw, you dash on ryu to be close to him, and you walk back out of his range of srk and you just did a sweep meaty. That’s nice because in acting like that, he cannot think about try to do a srk reversal. After that you timed well you cross up HK and i never think about use legs (whiff legs) when you are out of range of ryu after the cross up.

It’s look like a great shield. If ryu try a fireball, he is countered, if he sweep, same thing and i think he didn’t want to try a srk and whiff it if the legs stop just at this moment so it’s interesting to note.

The ultra on reaction on his focus was nice too, he was in the perfect position, even if he try to dash out he was in corner so he would eat the full ultra (juggle or not)

At the end, that’s funny to see that a whiif Stand HP can be punish by her ultra. I love her ultra, lol ^^

I love !!! Very nice, those stand mk were psychic. I have hard time to use them because when you move you can miss and do a 6mk or a 4 mk.

And those stand mp where psychic too. You beaten all the fireball and 2mk of ryu, nice

I loved too at 08 : 31, you jump over ex fireball of ryu, do jump FP x 2 in guard, crouch lk, crouch lp and you stand for the throw but just at the end you walk back.

Ryu crouch lp to stop you and whiff his jab so at this time i think, he amazed and you come back to throw him. Nice !!

If i have one thing to say, is your use of the super. You have a game with barely no ex use and that’s cool cause you can have a super but i think you forget about this super sometime in the game.

Your defense is nice but some time you block right and eat in the middle of the block string a counter hit.

Why try to counter ryu in a block string when you have a super. Let him go and punish him if he do a mistake. I think you have to work on your defense when you are in block string.
Learn to block and don’t try to counter him between the combo

I look your match versus gen also.

Nice again. At 01 :24 I liked the focus dash forward on his crouch HK, but unfortunetaley , you did your dash two times in a row and missed the opportunity to punish him. But it’s nice to see that

I also notice you use often 2lk at his max range, that’s nice too. He come fast and the opponent don’t expect to get hit by them. After he eat a standard mk airbone, just when he wake up (land)

I have notice something else, after a forward throw you do a forward dash a jump. That’s a good way to jump with chun li. But some times, after the throw, you just jump without the dash. That’s not good here. Because with this timing you land before he wake up. The best thing is to walk one step and jump. With this timing, you can block anything which come in reversal. And of course you can use the forward dash jump too.

There is othe example where you miss the timing, for example, you beaten in the air and during this time, gen rejump on you like a cross up. I have notice, it’s never a good thing to throw a ex sbk in this case cause the opponent can block it or his move cross up can stuff you ex sbk. And at the end, you throw forward gen in the corner, wait a little and jump. Here again your jump were not in good time.

I think i will try to finish my thread about this (wake up options and strategy)

Summer Jam madness

I’ll start it with my favorite 2

http://www.justin.tv/clip/0cce1324d6e8f0ab vs SkiSonic’s El Fuerte (ends with a crazy perfect from Ski)

http://www.justin.tv/clip/f1d681828e761c2a vs Demon Hyo’s Blanka, starts at 9:25. That loss was on me, I was being mad pringles, scooped up, and folded for the lose. Demon Hyo’s Blanka is super serious, hands down top EC Blanka.

http://www.justin.tv/clip/6e973811233bfd8e Continuation to the top match above. Final round.

http://www.justin.tv/clip/234154ac538090f0 vs Eric V’s Rufus

http://www.justin.tv/clip/71e423930703ac82 vs Moose’s Balrog. I kept choking up uppercuts with Sagat so I switched to Chun. For some reason, my gameplay wasn’t as annoying/turtley as it usually is against Balrog. I was just trying whatever I was allowed to…probably not the best way of handling Balrog. Starts at 6:33

In conclusion, yes I got bodied on stream.

haha its all good… i’ll get some matches of me versus conk so you can see me getting totally beasted on by gouken… that should cheer you up a bit!

You did well, when blanka tries to pull that chip damage shit remember that you can air throw his ultra if you have no other options. You probably knew that but hey, ya never know.

Again, good job reppin the thigh.

Can’t air throw it if the first hit hits low. I actually should have EX SBK’d there. What happened there was my options shuffled in my brain too fast.

Will I survive the chip?

Is the first hit next to me and will connect?

Can I jump back from it?

Back dash?

If the first hit doesn’t go low, air throw?

Then…I was thinking for too long and didn’t make the right choice. I wanted to jump back then ultra him (it works when you’re positive he’s on the ground). So I lost my charge for EX SBK, the one I should have done, but realized it too late.

Also, I need to stand tech vs Blanka more. Crouch teching is too specific to break his throws, at least for me. It was retarded that I got thrown that many times, he doesn’t even have a frame trap. Oh well though…

That was some awesome shit MM.

I would have gone fucking nuts if I were there when you air threw Fuerte’s ultra.

Thank you for the advice. I will work on it.

Thanks!

and thanks to everyone else for the help!!

I kept on whiffing throws and doing random FAs when I really didn’t need to. Not to mention getting pushed into the corner is something I have to prevent when fighting Bison. Any tips and pointers are always welcome.
