hi guys, haven’t posted in awhile but I hope I’ve improved a lot since playing that crappy ryu and sagat.
Here’s a G2 final vid from me

Sorry for the boring conclusion of the 1st round. I was baiting fireball for dash ultra but his timing was erratic so could never get a clean fireball to come out as I dashed in.
Comments welcome.
edit: sorry if no one likes my taste in music, it’s 360 so I have my own playlist. Had enough of INNNNNNNNNNDESTRUCTABLE!!!
Yep, much better. Reminds me of myself, scarily -.-. Although, I did wonder why you kept using ex.hasan shu, rather than just regular; I just wondered if you had an aim in mind with that.
I think, at the end of the first round he was expecting your ultra, so was understandably wary with fireballs. You can try drawing him into a fireball war by throwing aload of lp.kikouken at him… Once he gets comfortable negating your fireballs with his, then, rather than a fireball next, buffer your dash ultra.
Doing nothing sort of signals to him that you are just looking for a good ultra opportunity. Also, I’m glad the volume was turned so low on my computer I could only barely hear the music ^^.
EX HS is faster and does 200 damage compared to hk hs of 100. During a match if I feel I can zone well and keep the opponent ducking I’ll throw out the EX HS if I have at least 2 bars.
I don’t normally do it, maybe I did it more in that match because I was more confident of him eating it. Also because of the lag online I usually very almost always mess up the timing for hs, cr.lk and eat a dp because of it. The EX hs nullifies that because of knockdown.
edit: well disregard everything I said, according to the wiki ex hs is the slowest at 27 frames, tied with the hk version. I’ll still use it, maybe because she flashes yellow and shouts OOOOOOOHUUUUUUWWWW! players get scared and stay blocking low. It’s also -1 on block so still the same as the other versions. Interesting!
Cross posted from the video thread in the main forum. Notable because of the Nuki vs Nemo fight. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen those two go at it before, and I don’t think I’ve seen that many Chun vs Chun videos here either.
Nuki vs Nemo is hilarious. I was expecting Nemo to win honestly, even though Nuki is clearly the better player. Looks like Nuki can get random when he needs to, perfect timing with a Chun mirror.
looks like you were right about akuma countering chun MM.
damn nuki versus nemo was like watching a couple a random chuns online going at it… lol nuki missed a stomp and both of them were throwing out HS like there lives depended on it.
funny cause ive started doing the same thing in chun mirrors…
I’ve updated my youtube account with a batch of new videos. It’s a pretty big set of online casuals versus french Ken-player and Chun-aspirant Cpt Drannoc.
There’s about 13 Chun v Chun and 17 Chun v Ken, you can find them HERE!
From numerous videos viewed, to being collected and compiled into a Chun-Li Fan Video Montage.
Here’s something I put together the other night that I think shows off some of Chun-Li’s best abilities from some of the top players among other things…
Wow, the way momochi harassed Chun was mind boggling. He didn’t give nuki ANYTHING. I don’t know how a player is supposed to open up a solid Akuma like that, seems like no matter how hard a good player will try…opportunities won’t arise against momochi :wow:
I didn’t think momochi v nuki was that bad tbh. Before landing damage off of demon flip tricks it was pretty even with Nuki not able to get enough damage in (both rounds). It certainly looks in Akuma’s favor, but I don’t see how a few different decisions couldn’t make it go the other way. Everytime Nuki dashed in it was a threat. The holes are there, you just need to find them more often than Akuma does cus of crappy damage dealt/taken.
those street battles bids are fucking amazing. I am totally amazed at how things actually work it’s mind bogeling. The 1 thing I just noticed from those vids is no high level chin applies wakeup pressure. Why is this? It seems they sit back and try and get a counter combo then back off. Even if they have someone in a corner & knocked down they will back way up and let the oponent get up. My best play is when I have someone cornered and apply wakeup pressure. I get that chin is bast at poking distance but aren’t you giving up an advantage by not working the wakeup game?
At least give them a bubble to chip a little. I know I always leave them with a jelly as they get up. My bad habit is doing the same poke > hazanshu combo after the kikoken over and over. Rarely I remember to try new things. =P
