that hzu ex tho
3s sa3 omg
Does Dhalsim have nothing to punish all that forward dashing? So many triple forward dashes, it almost makes the match-up seem more claustrophobic for him than when he has to fight Cammy.
mp/mk especially j. mp imo
Yoga Sniper works too afaik. He used to have the 2-hit s. mk in the USF4 early build but they removed it.
Teaching SF4 Chun is hard, lol. Recently I got some of my Tekken player/shoto player friends interested in learning Chun-Li
At least as an alternative to the post-Evo Rosewagon… it’s going to take a while.

Dat Round 3
Haha, I remember that. You start playing Chun-Li and all you want to do is hit down-forward roundhouse on every wake-up. I mean, that move looks good, right? And it does what you want to do, it crosses up, all neat like, and all those points completely ignore the fact that it’s completely balls useless and you can only use it, really, in funky reset situations where you opponent is thinking of baiting out a reversal, but you want him to eat a combo, instead. Hey, he went for the low short after hasan shu, you’ve gotta give him credit for that.
That double sweep was kinda funny in the last video, too. Oh my god, the hasan shus everywhere. It’s kinda cool watching inexperienced players sometimes. They do such strange stuff. Oh my god, it’s just a cluster-fuck of Tenshokyakus now.
df+hk is decent, but only against some characters should it see heavy use. Guile and some chargers for example. It was really beastly in SF2 though.
What? You mean we could’ve had some actual interesting changes implemented and they backed out? Brb… gonna go ask about it on unity. They couldn’t even throw it out there for location tests to see how it would work out?
Cl. HK launching/juggling would make a godlike anti-air even though I’d lose out on my favorite stun-combo.
From AIR. Among the other things that I’ve got while fighting Elena

[/quote]You can punish Blanka Ultra 2 with the right timing

This was an awesome match. So, throw works against clothes-line? I gotta remember that. This LunatyCat has mad composure.
Oh man, thanks for linking that video! Seems like I’ve got some training room work to do, with all the Blankas I’ve been running into lately. I thought about punishing his U2 in recovery by doing some sort of reveral->dash.ultra, but, in the video, I completely borked the input. I was still in block stun and attempted to do it far too early, so ended up feeling a bit silly about it. So his arm needs to be almost touching the floor to time it correctly? This is sooo useful for escaping Blanka’s chip-damage shenanigans. Thanks again, dude.
Edit: Gonna include some of my most recent matches. You might recognise a few high-skill players here and there.

Yes you can. If a Hugo telegraphs either EX running move you can reaction throw. They do look alike from the start though- be careful with EX lariat since it has armor for an unlimited number of hits. Just lame him out as hard as you can.
Oddly enough I did try PSN and lost to Hugo the first time I tried my friends account in Ranked -_-
And then this happened… so yeah I don’t think I’ll be playing much online (or take it seriously) ever again lol. Underwater connection at its finest, I was barely able to do what I wanted to do.
On punishing Blanka’s U2, I literally wait for the fist pound on the floor to release. I’ve never had a problem.
Edit: wait, I’m lying. I DID have a problem with it before and posted on here about it, but after literally like 5 mins in training it was easily overcome.
You’ve really got to hunt for those Green Bar connections. It’s like you say, you simply cannot play Chun-Li in a bad connection. Her invincibility options are too poor compared to other characters. It’s a trade-off, I guess. You get more variety on Ranked, but offline is the true testament of skill.
Damn, that Vivi vs Inaba match. I feel so fraudulent after watching that. Okay, that mirror. Mind=blown. He gets a bit crazy with Hasan.shu in that Sagat match, though. You’ve got to play solid fundamentals in that match-up. In the second round he was doing pretty good, he kept Chun-Li at the correct distance, where anything sagat tries to press can get tagged by standing fierce, but he’s still playing her like a rush-down character. Which, maybe he can, right? That’s only one match, anybody can lose one match; and, with his legs-loop stun building and damage, maybe that’s the most direct path to victory.
Being a Evil Ryu player I posted this in their video forum but I guess it should also go here as well. This is Vivi against Daigo’s Evil Ryu. They play a total of 7 ranked matches in this video

Personally I think Chun has a slight edge in this match up but I can’t FADC hazanshou on reaction into 340+ damage like Daigo can
It also seems like Vivi respects Daigo’s ability to not throw bad fireballs so I guess he chose U2 at first for damage off hit confirms into EX legs
Wouldn’t U1 still be the better option though? Especially towards the corner since everyone full juggles now? I think a few damage points would be given, plus you let the Ryu pressure you for free with fireballs if you don’t threaten with U1 (landed or not).
Heh, it’s cute how Vivi starts freaking out when Daigo shows up. 'Gameinn kita. Yamero!" (Daigo came, oh god!) Ehe. He’s getting really punished for his over reliance on hasan.shu in these matches. All top level players are looking to focus crumple Chun-Li, because her armour breaks are relegated to pretty much reversals only, it’s a real solid tactic against her. So you’ve got to make them respect your standing middle punch first, because that can only crumple on a psychic counter-hit. I agree with 4neqs, he could have shut down a lot of turtling just picking Ultra 1; it gives you a full screen punish if you can dash-ultra consistently. Vivi doesn’t seem comfortable playing the neutral game, which is where Chun pulls ahead over Evil.Ryu. I mean, Daigo is known for his fundamentals, but Chun-Li can play that game with Ryu. She has so many boss normals, and, if Daigo just wants to block, as happens at the match which starts at 14:45, then start building meter instead. Make him take a chip deficit, so he has to throw fireballs of his own that you can use to build revenge meter.
He should watch some Valmaster Chun-Li. Valmaster’s footsies are beyond god-like.
