Without even looking at it, I can surely say that part of it was because I got scared. Eat a few spd due to mistakes and you’re gonna think about that threat for the rest of the game.
thats the problem you are thinking
Yeah, just like Bruce Lee said: 'Don’t think, feel’
based on past postings and your latest comment you play scared to lose, but that will actually make you lose more often then not.
If you are too passive I feel Chun will have difficulties winning; unless you have sick reactions and awesome footsies - which I really don’t.
Some people can just make Chun Li an impentrable wall, but I find the play style restrictive and abnoxiously annoying.
But I won’t dare right off its value, which is why I recommended One Handed Terror videos to you as he has great fundmentals and gives valuable insight for game plans:

This is an old one of mine and my approach was very basic and very patient. Totally blew a part after rewatching it made me cringe but oh well.
You can pick up several useful things in this video. A Hosenka reversal, Instant Overhead J.Hk, lots of long pokes and anti airs. Also pay attention to some of my foul ups — damn I’m still salty from that round 1 ultra B.S. haha!
Remember that SF is a game of risk/reward, give/take etc.,
A lot of this comes from knowledge and experience playing the game, but you absolutely cannot fear your opponent.
i was joking btw
It’s hard to read  's on the internet sometimes.
But yes, in a way, if you worry too much about one thing, you’re going to get hit by something equally dangerous if not worse.
Been playing some recently, have a set of endless that I’m planning to upload.
Played another one before that just to warm up though, and I think that I’m becoming a bit better.
At least I’m using more focuses and her hcb+k.
Just noticed that I can’t get out Ultra 2 in a combo without mashing, that sucks.
You using a pad or stick? You just got to practice the double hadoken motion for a bit in training/trial mode to be sure. It’s a must-know for anyone playing SF. U2 is important in a lot of matches, especially when U1 doesn’t work as a obvious punish.
Similarly, I have some issues with U2 on my spare stick. I’ll either have it fixed or buy a better one.
Yeah, I can do the Ultra on its own no biggie, but in a combo it just won’t come out.
Using a stick by the way.
I always mash U2 in combos. Why not? I don’t think I’ve ever missed U2 by mashing, but I’ve done the input too early trying to do it “right” and it hasn’t come out.
Yeah just work on the timing and the stuff it combos from and you’ll be fine. No shame in mashing out at first if that’s what you need to do to get it out. lol
kikosho does hace a weird input window, i cant do it with out double tapping 3p, if for some reason i dont do any extra 3p the only thing i get is a far fierce after the ex legs, so double tap is a very good fix to that problem
cody is a dick

loving it

Yeah I’ve done that a bunch before too. If she reflects a Kikoken you can reaction Ultra too.
Ease up on mashing Lightning Kicks, esp the EX version, it’s a waste.

Hey everyone, this is my first post so be nice. I’ve been playing AE since it came out but this is my first video upload of myself playing and I want to get better.
Please critique. I don’t take offence so don’t hold anything back.

LOL - god Cody players are in general garbage. People call out Ken as being flow charty but come on,
FA - Weak ass kick combo - N.J Hp until hit confrimed rinse repeat.
Basically Homuncil you’ll want to pressure Cody on his wakeup as much as possible.
Sure he has a few reversals he can use but his wakeup game is just as garbage as Chun’s so you might as well take advantage of it.
Push his punk ass in the corner and don’t let me him out.
St. Mk - I noticed you tried to anti air with that, for some reason on Cody St. Mk has a hard time beating him out.
St. Hp or blocking a jump in will be your best options
Dealing with N.Js, FA dash back can be risky but also valuble
Some cases you can actually dash under Cody but only if you time it just right
His FA is ridiculous, the reach is crazy and I seriously think next to Makoto its the most broken FA in the game.
So be ready with St. Mp xx Kkiouken, St. Mp xx EX LLegs, Ex SBK.
You can damn near start every round with a Neutral Jump HK and punish a flowchart Cody’s feable attempt to attack first
safe jump him off EX LLegs and Throws to continue pressure.
Be aware of his rock throwing skills (lots of Stun on these) as it is best to FA those or block. HSUing over is tricky due to the arc he throws them on.
As much as I think Cody is bitch he does however pack a major punch and will stun you stupid fast.
I also don’t use Kikouken much in this match up unless it is full screen away.
but that is just me.
I just watched the Yang one. As I’m talking to another Chun player on Youtube, I might just leave comments on the vids themselves
Hey Jay Maal, welcome to the board man
I felt you played fairly well.
Try not to burn EX LLegs combos if you don’t have hit confirms. It’ll happen - hell I still do it from time to time, just try to be aware of it.
I like your Lk HSU approach. You can use this after EX LLegs safe jumps with good success as well as empty jumps. Be sure and do safe jumps off of throws as well.
As much as like your Lk HSUs though it is important to mix it up. You got a bit predictable with it at moments.
So check out a few more mix ups and keep your opponent guessing as best you can and although lag can certainly hinder this, be sure and get your links after HSU down. It is good to see you trying to use them.
All in all looking pretty good personally.
Be sure and nail you anti airs, that Abel was a jumping machine - make him pay for it.
