What a coincidence, I have some videos in upload and processing of me vs Javits (Balrog+1 Honda).
I didn’t get to record the whole set due to memory running out, but he’s gdlk. I reviewed my videos over a few times and saw where I got hit, I was trying to play too much like a mosquito when I should be playing more like a turtle/snake.

There should be 4 new ones, if they’re not done uploading/processing then they should be there later. I’m off for now.
edit: Ok I’m back. Here are the matches.
vs Javits (Honda) . I barely slip by this match, he’s a good player, and this match isn’t easy by any means. I was completely wrong about Chun having a clear advantage over Honda, it’s still a fight.
vs Javits (Balrog) . Ah…the ending of this match isn’t shown. All I remember from this long set of this particular match was that I sat on EX SBK and hit with it a few times. Again, barely slip by.
vs Javits (Cammy) . It’s a hard match for Chun, but he didn’t capitalize on the chains + EX cannon strikes he had. Probably due to PSN-ness, it ain’t easy using Cammy on there.
. I missed a stun combo due to me throwing out a kikoken too early. Pretty dumb by me not reacting to the stun birds, as it costs me the round because I make a mistake. He knows about far jump in roundhouse clipping Chun’s anti air, which he hit me with a few times. Smart stuff on his part. I then didn’t follow up a 2nd hit from my kikoken since it was pretty close, and I thought he did an EX dash straight. But apparently, I forgot to throw when he gets close also, and ate the overhead ultra combo. I then react slow with the EX SBK’s on his jab dash punches, missing it twice. I go for the EX SBK anti air a bit early and he does jump in short (!!!) and beats it clean. I decide to block, ride the string out…and then jump back to fish if he gets eager to chip kill me. He dash straights and chips me after I land which was a good call.
2nd round I saw my mistakes, and it doesn’t take many to rape Chun…so I deserved all of that.
LOLOL!!! This is a great idea and good layout. I saw the page and I figured, “oh wow, now I can see great match ups of Chun vs Rufus and see how to handle him”. Then I watch the first two videos and Chun gets lunched in both matches in less than 90 seconds!!!
I thought that this was supposed to show you how Chun plays great against certain matchups, not chun getting beasted…I don’t need a website for that.
Haha my exact thoughts, I was like: “Wait that’s not cool, wtf?”
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Chun-Li video where she was actually agressive. Everyone seems to be all about careful pokes before reverting back to defense and spacing and such.

Spud, meet Nemiza.
Nemiza, Spud.
I think I’m in love! :hitit: This is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone play like me. :lovin:
Some things Im stealing from that video:
c.lk > c.lp > c.hp > lk.HS
Baiting FA absorbs on Kikiokens and poking them with something other than a sweep or HSU
c.lk > c.lp > c.lp > c.lk > Ex Legs
Gosh! That chun was insane. Dash much!!! Very impressive and Ive got some notes to take …
/heads to rewatch video repeatedly.
How are those dashes timed so perfectly? One might believe it’s set to a button…
Incredible, but that Sagat did absolutely nothing with his opportunities. Made the great chun look even better.
At the very last match (gotta let it buffer for quite a while) there’s a match of yasuda vs a 60 BP Rufus. He handles it pretty nicely, even though the Rufus did mess up a few crucial combos.
dam that was a sick chun. i really need to stay away from rufus, or try to at least and use st. fierce and st. roundhouse. the cr. roundhouse was working good in this vid too. i do have to agree that rufus did miss a few combos, its sad that the chun player made like 2 mistakes and pays with like 40% of her life each time, but i guess thats chun for you.
Bahn and I’s matches are uploading now, should be done by mid-afternoon
Stupid youtube is vry slow
Nemiza OCVing a team
They weren’t as bad as the Abel team, but they weren’t teh greatest. Still a good reminder on how to play against someone lower than your skill level.
vs Sagat, vs Dictator, vs Akuma.
1st round was lol.
Poor Sagat.
Edit: @ 4:34, backdashing lp scissor kicks is sexy.
The Dictator was the redeeming player of that team. It seemed like they were all just rushing in to die, though, even Dictator his last match.
I have about 5-6 new matches (last one cut off and ran outta memory, fuckin 1GB card lol) against some mysterious player named “Mr gdlk.”
www.youtube.com/goldsamuraiarmor .
When they’re all finished and processed I’ll post individual links. I use Chun of course, against his Boxer and Blanka.

I blocked 99% of the jump roundhouses and crossups, but that’s the thing I need to stop doing. I should be walking under more or air to air fierces against Blanka. Air throw is a bit hard to do online to him I noticed, he has the least floaty jump in the game. So I pretty much am in bad situations due to me not reacting properly with anti airs/jump nulls. But I learned and will try to give better match videos next time.
Just my thoughts on the matches.
1st Match: Good job recognizing he wasn’t teching throws. I think that’s what gave you the definitive edge in this match. Very nice kikoken set-up to win it too.
2nd Match: First round was close. Even though he had the momentum in the final seconds, you kept your cool and laid out some good kikoken traps. 2nd round was painful. He had a damn good streak of mix-ups. Final round was awesome, you dominated the poking aspect, which threw him off quite a bit I think. GG
3rd Match: Watching it I felt like you were in control most of the time. I agree with your assessment on blocking the jump-ins and cross-up attempts. You did a good job blocking them, but eventually some damage slipped in. You had me worried after FA’ing one then jumping backwards instead of turtling I think right at the end there you said to yourself exactly what you typed later “I should be walking under more or air to air fierces against Blanka.” Because you did that to win the match.
4th Match: It was much more obvious this time around(especially the 2nd and 3rd rounds) what you were getting at. He was nonstop jumping, trying to catch you off guard with a high-low mix-up or cross-ups. The last few seconds of this match I was telling my computer screen to EX spinning bird lol. Even though you lost this one I feel like you played much better than him. Your poking was outstanding and your knowledge of punishable moves as well as the execution of these moves was great.
5th Match: 1st round would have been EPIC if you had pulled off the air throw. Good streak to even out the damage though. 2nd round was the same type of thing: you controlled the ground with well-time pokes and footsies, he got the better of the air/jump-in game.
6th Match: You seemed much more active during the first round. After reading your comments I could see those ideas reflected in the gameplay(and also the frustration in the stick movements when he got a crossup-elec combo off :annoy: )
All in all, very entertaining and educational matches. I don’t know how the latency was, but I assume it wasn’t perfect, yet you still have a awesome poking/link game down. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks, good evaluation. He’s a really good player when he wants to be but I don’t think I was playing good enough for him to really step it up.
The latency wasn’t an issue, it was as good of a connection as I would get from online.
Yeah I do need to play my options better and remember them. I seem to forget in the heat of battle. I can’t really air throw Blanka’s ultra, I’d need to see a video of the timing because I’m completely horrible at it. I did try to EX SBK, but it looks like I got her st.forward.
Yeah I just realized I was sitting on a good charge more often than not when he jumped. I always feel like I don’t have a charge when I was in that situation, but now I know. I’m not really a charge character type of guy, but I need to get used to it in this match for sure.
im learning a lot from your vids mag, didn’t know s.hp beats honda butt slam. i was always going for c.lk after the block.
