Did anyone see this video?

Watch the “match” if you don’t want to be spoiled, otherwise, here’s the outcome:
Spoiler
Chun Li loses the match and gets turned into ashes by Mai’s fire tricks. That was crappy as hell. Chun Li smoked Vega’s assassination attempt, kicked the shite out of Shadaloo, and defeated Urien, but loses to paper fans and fire tricks? Biased as hell.
Although I agree with them that Mai does have some advantage with range I don’t think she should’ve lost. Chun has lots of tools to deal with many characters in the SF universe. Mai uses paper wood fans unlike Kitana who uses steel. So the one thing Mai has left has is pyrokinesis but honestly she fought C.Viper who used fire right at her face, Juri who freaking kicked her in the stomach and lived…Bison and Vega with a deadly weapon…so I don’t really think her “fire” can really beat her.
Lol pretty sure Chun has same size as Mai cept she where’s clothing so it don’t jiggle so much. Chun can actually fight to unlike Mai -_-. I mean how else can she fight Hadokens all day
Now, to prove you wrong, here’s a =gasps= new Chun match from Dagon!
This was second round at Winter Brawl vs some guy’s Dictator (I don’t know the guy’s name). I feel like I played really solid. I haven’t had a chance to re-watch this yet to critique myself, so any feedback anyone might offer is welcome. (EDIT: wow I jump a lot)

Post-script: I’m probably going to start playing more Chun, because I recently came to the realization that I need to drastically improve upon my fundamentals, and Hakan is not the best character to use to do so. I also might just main Ryu for awhile, since he’s arguably one of the most well-balanced characters. Stay tuned!
Not bad man. You were doing well in the first match, however he started to catch onto your playstyle primarily because of excessive jumping and not enough hit-confirms.
Try to minimize your blockstrings. If they block the jab sequence, there’s little reason in completing it with a FP (which is negative on block anyways, as you already know).
Avoid burning meter for EX SBK. I know most do this as a desperation move to create distance between the character, but sometimes it’s just best to block, backdash or, if possible, dash under them.
Use more normals based on situations: great to see your use of cr. mk and st. mp… st. fp, st. mk and even st. rh are great moves that would help expand your zoning options and help to keep your strategy from becoming too predictable
Lock down legs combos. It seems that you were having some trouble getting these down consistently… even as far as to land a few normal LK-leg attacks. With a bit more training in the lab, you’ll be able to land MK/RH (preferred) to maximize your damage.
Try moving forward a bit more - this will help to eliminate the possibility of getting cornered, so that your options won’t be limited and allows you to maintain offensive momentum.
Whatever character you pick – fundamentals and effective strategies still need to be realized and executed. Good luck!
It’s the fundamentals part that I want to shift my focus to, which is why I’m considering Ryu. This is neither here nor there.
-I usually end my blockstrings with st.:hp: even on block because hey, it’s only -1. Can anyone actually punish that? Also, it pushes them out of my face, so I know I won’t need to deal with immediate frame traps.
-I was hitting :lk: legs on purpose. I haven’t tested it, but is :hk: legs really that far superior?
I think Ryu in this game is not so much about fundamentals as he is in other games, since he really got some unique tools (FADC and awesome normals and link etc…) which is not part of the basic tool of every character. But well rounded he is indeed.
Well, that’s a few minutes of my life I’ll never get back. I keep reminding myself not to watch MUGEN and MUGEN-related/inspired creations but get suckered in every time. It was no doubt a rebutal to this old one:
lol I am sorry 4neqs. Anyway I’m pretty sure they just went with the girl with more skin showing, but the ending in these vids look so similar. I think the only redeeming factor about that video was “don’t drink and drive”.
Me against one of the best (if not the best) Dudleys here. Got option selected at the very end lol ><

And match 2. This one got cut due to the battery running out, but I swept this one and Round 3 was pretty much the same as the others. Gotta learn this matchup.
Takahoko showing signs of improvement with Chun, even though he loses I was impressed by his spacing to punish jump ins with cr.mk xx (EX) Legs with a really high success rate. Its worth watching just to see the exact spacing required for this AA punish…
Ugh my video backlog is so enormous. It is highly discouraging. With that said, I have a bunch of videos that I’ve been meaning to upload and post here.
The punish that Wii is talking about above is at 1:38, BTW.
No Idea if people are interested but here are a few Ranked matches I’ve played recently on an Alt account so I could certain patterns and stuff, if people want feel free to comment/advice. Its never ignored but its not essential, anyway posting em if anyone is interested Some people may find things in them I do useful (or really bad lol)
Dudley matchup is a lot harder than I thought it would be. The qcf+k dodge shenanigans remind me that I shouldn’t approach him in exactly the same way I would vs Balrog.
4neqs, thanks for the feedback on YouTube! My favorate was “guaranteed foot to the jay-jay”. It might have been because I was reading it as soon as I woke up this morning at 6:00, but it made me laugh pretty hard.
Helps me forget about how bad at the Rufus matchup I am =/
Just relax and take it slow and deliberate. Be thankful it’s not as bad as it was in vanilla (and since I sometimes dab in that when I go to the cheapo arcades, I would still know-- lol j. hk x 2 target combo to EX Snake). You lost in the rounds where you spazzed/jumped not-so-safely, you won the rounds where you kept him zoned and outpoked.
I liked the mecha-gief hanging outside the window in the first round. I lol’d. I wonder what would happen if you were playing gief on that stage? =gasps= Maybe it would be like the African airfield stage in 4?
Right around 31 minutes he uses cr.:hk: to dodge a fireball. Can anyone comment on that?
