lexy try doing cr.Fierce x fwd.short, fwd, short x2fwd thats my method and it works really good for me. if i run into you at Evo I can show you.
after watching alot of matches i am noticing that the twins dont have really good wakeup defense and even on dive kicks if u keep crouched ur not in any sort of mixup they go right into jab strings and if u block low all u have to look for is the pause and throw attempt and or command grab but its not used so much for whatever reason…its easier to see this when u watch a match from the outside. Alot of the matches with the twins seems to come down to just spacing and patience and sometimes just playing retarded too.
if you are seeing a lot of success with CR. MK, you should consider buffering Super if you have the meter and opportunity. Great damage. Another good setup is CR. LK, CR. LP, CR. MK xx Super.
Re: Rose match. Thanks. I will upload some more probably tonight. I am really critical about what I upload and as of recent, I am facing nothing but the Twins and Evil incarnate-type characters. I know Meeks says to share whatever, but I want to share stuff thatvcan offer some value. I miss going against the rest of the cast. I believe I captured some footage against Akuma, Cammy and Honda the other night. Please look forward to those.
LOL watched em decent fights as always mate… not sure Meeks means to share any old rubbish I think he’s more referring to the idea that people can take segments of things away from any match, good or bad… I also don’t think those opponents were a particular challenge, they had poor spacing and footsies or at least you made them look that way and the Cammy was just pain awful in terms of having any idea of how to apply pressure with her in AE, also she used no Chun specific stuff or any of the unblockables and hooligan traps that catch you in your standing frames…
Sorry if that seems harsh, just overall you played very well but they did not imo
LOL, not at all. I totally agree with you.
damn bahn your spacing and zoning always are something to admire and learn (or at least xcopy haha)
i really dont buy that hooligan crap, specially since you can mash cr.lp and avoid any of the cammy set ups for free
LOL you can mash cr.jab on wake up or EX SBK to avoid her hooligan traps from the backthrow set up… But I’m sorry you’d have to be an idiot to mash jab on wake up against Cammy… Unless the Cammys you play are awful or really predictable in the way they apply pressure or can’t land meaty or the unblockable attack on your wake up, again no offence after all I haven’t seen you or the people you play against as you stated. Maybe you don’t rate the people I practice with or because they had no names (even if they did I don’t know how good your knowledge of the Euro scene is) you were maybe quicker to dismiss them.
But mashing jab on wake up does not stop ALL of Cammys set ups, it avoid Hooligan throw
In my opinion you should never mash on wake up, there are always better ways out of the situation (like backdash the hooligan then delay cr.tech if they are mashing throw) cos pressing buttons on wake up against good players just gets you exposed.
You are right though it does work, just not against the Cammy I fight lol…
Sorry again if that seems harsh but I just love the way everyone on here talks as if they never lose or get caught out by set ups… There is a way out of ALL damage but you still get hit right?
oops, i was talking about the hooligan only, thats all, i wasn´t saying that ALL cammy set ups were free xD
in the other hand in my local scene there´s one cammy (pretty solid) and he´s dropping her atm, so yeah cammy´s around here (overall) are shitty as hell
edit. from europe i´ve seen these players: kayane, alioune, sharin, rock howard, skatan (idk if he is still playing atm tho), Wii :), desk (yeah i know he doesnt count, unless he wins evo this weekend xD), ryan hart and vryu. there are a few more, but dont recall his nicks/tags atm. I will upload some fights, this way you can trash me fair and square
hopefully I can get some of my MM’$ record this weekend at Evo and I can upload them…win or lose I need to see where i am at with some of the best.
@Chuns going to evo
Good luck and have fun! Same for any MvC3 Chun reps that might be going. Can’t wait to watch, and learn of more SFxT/UMvC3 news too.
not in any official tournament just there to play MM’$ with the best
Here’s another round as promised:

Re: Spacing LOL, thanks man, I appreciate it. I need to polish up my strings again – I figured it out though, I usually hit the attack too quick and haven’t been allowing the animation to complete.
re: your comment earlier…
EX hooligans are typically telegraphed from a mile away, though every now and then, I get caught from standing up.
Aside from the attack you mentioned, it’s also possible to use an air throw as well… Or simply block her attack on landing and punish with an attack string of your choice.
p.p.s. Wow you watched that second batch really fast. I have more I will upload tomorrow including some against my partner who slapped me around a bit lol.
no problem, i like to watch chun videos (and vega, yangs, gief, bisons for that matter), in the other hand i really find quite hard to land hazanshus on guile (im not going to argue about the guile player being shitty and such, if they are that´s their problem not mine btw) due recovery on his booms, meaning that i ended up being bitch slapped too much
A mirror set with one of my teachers, so to speak.

Ahahaha —hey I can’t believe I fell for focus to Ultra. One of the oldest tricks in the vanilla book. sigh
It’s funny. Outside of foci and early pokes, I never did pay attention on how to beat her own HSU pressures and rest of her own arsenal in a mirror. I’ll take it more seriously from now on.
IMO, “flowchart” is a derogatory term describing a player who copies other successful players, moves or strategies in an unthoughtful manner. I’ve played Humanbomb on numerous occasions, and he is a thinking gamer. He would absolutely flip at the suggestion of being a flowchart player. Perhaps we both have very different definitions of the term. You’re entitled to your opinions and I respect it, but I simply disagree
I will get round to watching some of the games posted above at some stage today.
i really have to stop posting w/o thinking or being too sloppy xD
In the case of human bomb (and any of you for that matter) my opinion is based on what i saw on the videos, humanbomb** IS a very good player**, dont get me wrong. He for some reason lost to Mov in the last SSD2k11 not once but twice, and to me mov is a very good player but that fight felt a little weird if you ask me, HB could won that. In the other hand he won both of the MM´s against mike ross and uryo (sakura mirror tho), i just can not say either he’s a bad player or he´s free, he´s australia´s finest hands down. I really dont understand why being flow chart is that bad of a deal tbh, baison w/o being flowchart is very hard to accomplish simple goals like putting ppl on the corner imo, if you are being flowchart ALL the time and ALL the fights then yes that is a problem.
For me flowchart (aka “decision tree”) is pretty much a very basic gameplan, better said a standard gameplan, that help the player to remember to do and what not to do in certain situations, that said is not an specific gameplan nor a proper mindset, those two things are more advanced if you ask me. In the end is up to the player how to use the tools available to him.
a little example, the flowchart of Chun in ST from the yoga book hyper (if you dont know what that is then dont mind me at all, specially because i will be crying in my bedrooms corner)

these are the foundations, every good player start from here, specially when you are learning a new character from 0. You need to know this in order to make better gameplans, hence better flowcharts.
edit. also meeks i totally respect your opinion (and Wii´s, skatan, cnul, snake, bahn, sama, lexy and any chun player for what is worth) and if you say that im wrong then i believe that, and i will do everything i can to make things right, so dont hold your thoughts when you see me fighting, like i said i will upload videos of my shitty chun pretty soon, specially because im entering a tournament in my local scene this Sunday (yeah i know that evo finals are on Sunday and i really try to postpone the tournament with no luck, and yes im that guy who runs tournaments in his local scene aswell)
edit2. if for some reason i have spelled something the wrong way is probably because my English sucks big time. Any correction will be strongly appreciated. /disclaimer
edit3. the edit2 is now my new signature, hell yeah
Hey mate, I wasn’t jumping down your throat. As I said, we both have a very different view of what being flowchart is and I suppose in Australia, it’s got a very negative stigma attached to it, so you can sort of see why having the characteristics of being flowchart is being frowned upon. I was just merely stating my opinion. There’s a fine line between disagreeing and convincing someone they are wrong. I wasn’t doing the latter (Well … not on purpose anyway lol)
By your definition, we could nominate about 90% of players to be flowchart players because every character possesses a basic fundamental “what to dos and what not to dos” in a given situation and therefore, we can form a standard flowchart by which most players would distinctively abide by. In your case, every player would benefit from being a flowchart. I guess this is where our opinions were divided, because, as this was not initially clearly explained, it’s easy to just assume the worst, given that being a flowchart player is directly associated with scrubs and noobs.

Calling someone flowchart is an insult where I come from, a flowchart ken is the classic example, that is someone that mashers DP through strings on the end of everything, does wake up DP’s without meter to cancel etc…
I have sent you a message Malv and I don’t want to start a big debate but the Yang I fought is not imo flowchart, not sure if you took note on his spacing, whiff punishes, baits, frametraps, footsies etc… but to me that is not flowchart play. People can think I just got blown up by scrubs if they like and I’m now kinda regretting posting these losses but I was wanting advice. Maybe I’m wrong and all the attributes I stated he did badly. Just imo they are not bad players.
