Let me know!!

Kuronuko.

just some messing around matches from last night vs the mirror chun guy that was 2nd winners bracket (long ass story in fellowship of the thigh)

btw messing around doesn’t mean i wasn’t playing like i would at a tournament, so please criticize and rip apart as usual. just means i had fun while i was playing and laughing and shit. remember it’s OK to let me know how scrubby i am and be harsh it’s ok

might as well get used to my gay little soundtrack in the bg since i like need music to play. yea yea i’m a music scrub but hey it makes me happy :pleased:

him playing as his #2 (ken) -->

a few sets of mirror chun -->

bows to statues of dime, mm, and one handed terror

Thank you, too bad there doesn’t seem to be many matchvids of him playing up on youtube, I’ll do some searching tomorrow.
His Chun is really interesting since he has a very unique poking game, gonna try and learn some stuff from him :3

anybody experiement with cr.strg to st.jab to st, fierce Kuronuko comes up with some crazy shit its on the 2nd vid that Ark Impluse loaded. 2:35 into the match

dash in ex legs pretty sweet

these were really nice matches MM! i particularly like your play in the 3rd round here even though you lost… man you really out played that guy… and in lag… i would have gotten smoked.

only thing i saw was how much you were trying to land that dash ultra… cant be so predictable with it… i know it was online and lag so you probably just wanted to get the damn things out… but you need to make sagat feel as if HASAN shu is your answer for fireballs, then he’s much more likely to make the mistake of throwing an errant fireball into your dash ultra… thats why i wasnt dashing versus ironfist in my matches so much… you lose your charge if you anticipate wrong and leave yourself open to more fireballs…
although i know i should have tried to dash ultra more… do you remember that vid i had versus that one sagat that i went through tigershot with dash super (but got blocked because of range) thats how i try to dash ultra good players… they shouldnt even know it was on your mind…

easier said than done i know, but look at the top jap chuns… you rarely see the dash ultra coming when they do it.

good matches, better than mine.

Thanks for the time + review, I noticed some things that you pointed out that I wouldn’t have before. I definitely need to use my hasan-shu even when I have ultra, I really tend to abandon it after I get an ultra and that’s not good at all.

Once I get more practice in, I’ll stop choking as well  , I just realized I lost 60% just trying to get in on the 3rd round. I really need to step up that evasive with Chun…she can’t be doing that in matches that count.

I was thinking of a way to use that dash ultra to place his tiger shot at the right spot, but all didn’t go according to plan lol. Usually, when I dash ultra, and buffer the move already, they will then throw a tiger shot, which I’ll experiment if I can EX hasan-shu, jump in, or absorb dash and poke him out of the next tiger shot and such.

If I’m in range, I also need to zone with st.fierce more.

My dash use wasn’t smart either, Chun’s walk is nearly as good as her dash, and I should be walking with hasan-shu to save myself some health points.

Again, I appreciate the review Dime, I’m glad you spotted some things that otherwise I wouldn’t have found because I thought “well that’s that” lol.

YOOOO I found some more Nagoya Street Battle videos for you Chun-heads <3.

np thats why we’re here, to give criticism, good job on uploading some LOSSES, thats where you find out your mistakes

glad you noticed this yourself, i’m going to blame the lag tho. i WALK into fireballs all day online…

yeah you were dashing at mid range (tigershot and HK hasan shu range) way too much… chuns HS is used to move her forward in this matchup from that range not her dash… once a HS has been blocked or hit tho… THATS YOUR WORLD…

i noticed you backdashing after HS ALOT… its not a bad idea and if you feel you really need the reset then go for it. but theres not alot that sagat can do after he blocks your HS… he cant throw you 'cause his throw range is crap and his walk speed is nonexistent… so the only thing he can do is block your cr.lk attempt, jump when he blocks the HS, tiger uppercut or dash in throw… these are all risky options for him whereas just blocking is his best bet… its up to you to teach him these things though if he doesnt yet understand. one thing i like to do is justwalk backwards if i cant get a good read on what i think he’s going to do, depending on distance of course…
also i always push the advantage if i hit him with HS, chun is trying to get in in this matchup, but even though she can take her time about it (this is whats going for her the most in this matchup) she shouldn’t give up golden opportunities.

all that is much harder to do online though so no worries bro!

you two don’t wanna analyze my gameplays? :frowning:

in the post after mm answered who the player was on this page (15)

omg MM that first vid was CRAZY!!! man that ryu was absolutely schooling that chun (told you that damn cr.mk was RIDICULOUS!!!) that was a great match! omg i couldnt believe the reversal punish against that naked cr.mk at the end… wow!

watching that even though the chun won (mad props to the chun tho OMG)

do you still think that sagat is more of an asshole than ryu vs. chun??

man that sagat player was just on crack! props to the chun player for making it SO CLOSE, against a sagat like that… scary shit man.

XX ima watch your vids now homie :lovin:

Old but Magneto shitting on my Chun with Ken. Need tips against Ken yo.

Alright guys, I played Sabin 11 games and didn’t win a single one. I usually don’t have trouble with Dhalsim but I’ve never really played a smart 'sim. Need some feedback on these fights.

Gawd, Seth was annoying as hell too. His command throw range is sick. I felt locked down every time he jumped in and I couldn’t find a good Anti Air against him, especially in that lag. :looney:

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=0CDB8AA1A408DC67

ok XXX (LOL) where do i start…

first of all let me say theres so much bad about your play it would take me pages to explain it all…

dont take that too harshly, cause i’m going to go over the good points of your play first

your execution is WAY better than your strategy… you look like you might be a natural to me… i’m jealous. you play VERY fast, i’d tell you that that was inherently bad in this game, but it’s not… alex valle one of the best players to ever play streetfighter plays VERY fast. so to that i say keep it up  unfortunately you definitely need to slow it down and think a little bit…

your still using way too much lightning legs… in fact let me just say that me and MM (i think i can speak for him on this point) would rather NEVER see you do regular lightning legs again!

just stop it… bad dracula… BAD!

you remind me of one of those guys on the basketball court thats always running at full speed, but never under control… you need to JOG, and FFS stop jumping so much! LOL!

i only watched the first vid… srry but my brain can only take so much!

so to rehash, calm down, gain some control of your character (chun looks like shes handling you lol)

and develop some pokestrings to use everytime your in the same situation… your not strategically developed enough to start switching it up yet… which is why i think people are hesitant to critique some of your matches… you dont really have a fundamental playstyle to critique… except for maddog “i’m gonna git that fool” rushdown stilos

for instance: you dont seem to have a prefferred poke yet.

nor a prefferred range.

nor a prefferred strategy, which would allow you to see how your opponents adapt to your strategy and then you could further adapt to counter there adaptation… etc etc.

it all comes in time. post up more vids of you playing a calmer distance based game and the critiques we give will be more helpful.

Just got around to watching these.

Epic Chun Li.

However, I’m disappointed that Sagat’s regular Tiger Uppercut beats out EX Spinning Bird Kick

You know, it’s kind of back and forth for me. I keep thinking is better than the other every time I play someone good controlling them. But really though, I’d rather face Ryu and footsie him more, and risk getting hit by his better focus attack, with his slightly weaker ultra (where it hurts Chun badly still). His fireballs are slow enough to poke out of for free at a range, kind of reminds me of ST.

Right now though, I think my opinion will stay like this for a LONG time, I honestly think Sagat gives Chun more trouble, JUST because he has so many chances to live. If you never noticed how important it is to take chances, the main reason is they can read you more often than you can read them. A good example is one of my (and other players) more commonly used tactic, “if it works, do it until they give you a reason not to.”

With Chun, you have all the reason not to do that, because 1 hit = the game. That’s not the case for Sagat, so they have more opportunities to test you. He has even more opportunities than Ryu would. To me, this game is mapped out like a chess game, but with random factors and probability blah blah blah…but the point is, Sagat can play the game more effectively when factoring in those situations over Ryu, hence why I think he’s more scary.

It may look like I’m just typing a bunch of shit, but that’s really what’s going on in my mind when I’m thinking how much BS Sagat is. Not to mention, his ultra combo is way more insane than Ryu’s, we all know which one we want to get hit by if we had the option lol.

I need to start using Chun’s tools better though, like full screen jumping forward over a tiger shot. Not that it does anything, or anywhere near close to hitting Sagat, but it’s better than walking and blocking and can save a lot of trouble if you want to get in the threatening distance with your hasan-shu, pokes, dash ups, waiting/anti air etc. The thing that annoys me about Sagat is his tiger knee too, even though it barely hits Chun that has the low forward ready. They can do other things to Chun if they see you pressing low forward too much, and even if the move itself hits, that’s a full screen free card for Sagat, .

The match is very winnable though, the more we improve here, the better I like the odds out there. I keep coming up short in offline matches but I think with some new knowledge now, I’ll pull the wins. The good thing about Chun players is, we can change our strategy, and they have to stick with their originals since Sagat is cut and dry.

edit: Goofy, I checked your matches vs Sabin, I think you shouldn’t let him get those free teleports with Sim, just close fierce him. They were great matches though, you know the importance of walk+block against Sim, and to focus the limbs.

I will check other videos later, I’m cracked up on L4D

chun gets thrown from gief range, goofyhand yells WTF!

omg that was priceless:rofl: i must have re-played that like fifteen times! reminiscent of DSP!

on to the matchup:

sabin is indeed a really good sim player… i probably would have lost that also… but theres some things that you wern’t doing that could have made his life much harder:

backup and throw kikokens… yeah you were doing that, but you kept followin them in trying to get in on sim… thats NOT what you should do, his response to this wasnt the best one imho… he was focusing them backwards very predictably… you should have tried to setup a situation where if he focused one of your kikokens you would have immediately hit him with hasan shu… i actually think you had that option a couple times… sim takes damage like a lil ol bitch eating kikoken then HS then cr.lk xx ex legs would have hurt him alot AND given you the knockdown.

he was giving you troubles with throwing kikokens cause of his jumping fierce… thats why chun has such a fast walk backwards speed and sim has such a bad walking forward speed… chun can get to full screen against sim in order to throw safe kikokens very easily. also he was predictable with jumping fierce… focus that and dash cancel forwrd twice… gets you close or in for free.

also NEVER PLAY the midrange against sim… chun will get raped there for free… its basically full screen distance or upclose in his face, the ony time you should play midrange is when you get a good read on him (like his abuse of jumping fierce)

maybe i should record myself in person…i’m actually very calm and quiet when i play…

i mean i do have a reason for the stuff i do, i mean at least 10% of the time i don’t just randomly hit buttons and hope it works

but i’m gonna have to disagree on one thing, and that’s having a set strategy. i can’t play with a set strategy of any kind. i simply play and let myself feel what the right thing to do is without thinking. if i plan “ok i’m gonna fa dash cancel at the start” it will fuck me up, and probably get me hit.

i mean it’s cool if other people like seeing set strategies in action or something

but that’s not my style

i’m more of a player that likes to be relaxed and let myself “flow” into how to play. yeah that’s probably harder to judge, but it’s also harder to predict for the opponent, and is a factor in how i won that tournament. i do appreciate the criticism about pretty much everything except that, since that’s more just your opinion than an actual critique.

my style = no style

xxalucard, just got done watching your matches - I have to say we both share some bad habits that hopefully we can break soon. My big issue is when I watch other Chun videos here I always think to myself “I’ll have to use that next time” and I normally end up going back to my old style.

For the poke game after watching the Yasuda videos I noticed he made good use of far standing MP to Hasan, if the Hasan misses just back dash out and if it hits either link to into C. LP / C. LK or just simple follow up how you please. The Neutral jump HK after you knock them down is good at times, just be careful about it.

I feel block strings are lacking too (I am SO bad at using them myself), try watching other videos and notice how other players use them efficiently.

But yeah overall keep at it, hit me up on XBL if you ever want to play:tup:
