Thanks for all the critique guys. It really helped me out. I’m still trying to figure out when to go aggro or play defensively. How do you guys go about that?
Also, another question. I’m having trouble with people pushing me into the corner via offensive pressure. For example, I was playing a Dudley last night, and once he would get close he would basically jab me into the corner. How does everyone deal with stuff like that?
I thought you had good footsies, I play against Ryu a lot more defensively though Chun can counter so much of his stuff its an uphill struggle for him if you get a life lead now. I started uploading some of my vids and funnily enough Dudley was one of em it might prove somewhat useful I did ok in the first round anyway.

I’d be happy for constructive criticism on any videos, Im aiming to get at least 2 or 3 against all the characters as i get decent matches occur.
Chun is offensive when she doesn’t have the life lead or she’s punishing the opponent’s bad mistake. Use you’re ex sbk as a gtf off me move when you know he’s gonna press a button, otherwise use your st.fierce and st.strong to keep that space to yourself.
In the cammy fight I noticed you got hit with 4 full screen ex hooligans. I don’t know if cammy has any options to stop it but back dash sweep works for me every time if I’m not asleep.
i don’t recommed backdashing when you see her do it because there’s a bigger chance that she will catch you.
you can do on reaction cl.st.hk. or the safest way to get her out of it is just stay crouched, spam jab. when you hit her out of it, you can backdash to safety.
there was a big discussion either in this topic or the fellowship about these 2 matches. general consensus on dhalsim was the need to be tricky to get in and make the initial damage count so you can turtle since he doesnt have much to crack you open up close.
the discussion on guile was very good and you should look back and check it out
Hey guys I just got my Replays uploaded, I realllly really want you guys to watch my Chun and tell me the pros and cons and what I need to do to improve. I am on my road to the competitive scene, and I really wish you guys can help me out by telling me what I need to know please??
Where was Chi Rithy last night? Did he not play or not get streamed? I was just lamenting over the poor chun play at Canada Cup… Raiden was looking good till he started doing those stupid retarded hazan shus against Daigo.
Wow, Pierre! Your jumping and hasan-shu technique are remarkable! I never thought Chun-Li’s jump could be used in such a way. I need to learn your sequences to try and beat Lud offline in grand finals sets.
First question, what is that hasan-shu (hit) into sweep (counter hit)? I’ve seen you land this a few times, and I must say, it is quite an impressive frame trap/reset. I think this is something myself and all other Chuns (of course you gotta have teh 10k+ BPz to use this lololol) should learn!
In fact, let me just stop typing for a minute. I am willing to go to next EVO, give you $300 to repeat this process in front of my very eyes. Yes, $300. The only catch is, if you lose, I’d want the same in return, because I just don’t want to risk not having the best lessons from you on how to beat Lud. See ya there!
