see you need to have that combo down 100%. EX legs is far too important for chun’s game to not be able to combo into 100% from multiple setups.
DiMenez - surprised nobody has mentioned but the obvious thing there was you backed yourself into a corner right at the start, Chun has low health avoid getting cornered. Some Guile specific stuff I saw, you scored some forward throws and could have capitalised with a safe jump. Dash - step - jump forward HK, he can’t flash kick it don’t worry. Also when you block his double sweep you can focus the second hit or hazanshou it. Also try following up successful hazanshous with cr.LK to Ex legs (this can lead to ultra 2, which I would personally take over Hosenka for Guile) or Cr.jab to fierce, I think someone mentioned above this combo’s into super if you have it.

I do realize it, I don’t know why but I’m having a bad habit of getting myself on the corner and my history in fighting games I was always the opposite of a turtle.
I didn’t know I could pull of hazanshu, cr. lk. I’l be sure to keep it in mind.
About the PSN username, that’s exactly it lol ! I always used my name for registering in forums, sites, etc but I decided to change to something I wouldn’t have to change all the time, so as a big fan of Final Fantasy X I went for Yuna00. (I’m bigger fan of FFVII but then all the time the nicknames would already be registered hahah)
I’ll keep all the advices from you guys and try to incorporate that in my game. Especially keep a watch out for getting myself in the corner too much.

Jump HK. You would probably eat a flash kick using LK.
hk its for safe jumping and u land in front of guile, LK its a cross up and - in vanilla at least- stuff the non ex flash kick, dont remember the ex flash tho
unless the guile player decided to just stay crouched after wakeup. the j.hk will wiff and you will land behind him. lk version is the safer one =]. but it doesn’t really matter. just mixed up the two. j.hk and j.lk after a forward throw.
LK deffo works on Guile too I actually use that more than HK but I know that HK is OHT’s favourite method from watching his youtube vids and he knows his stuff. :woot:

00:43 - When you were walking back in the first round and he threw ex hadou I thought u1 was gonna go off, but you did a fireball(probably walking back to get charge and you had fireball on your mind so it’s forgivable). Gotta capitalize on stupid mistakes like that. Also don’t jump towards ryu when you have the life lead and bait more srks by walk up do nothing. Very nice capitalizing on the df.lk trade jump in and then doing dash ex legs to finish the round.
1:32 - 2nd round started off pretty well, but here you get untech knockdown and opt for df.rh, honestly I don’t do it all to shotos because the guys I play auto-correct dp it everytime. But he blocked it and uppercutted your follow up and he had no meter. Doing nothing is strong for chun li and you gotta make the opponent make mistakes and regret them EVERYTIME.
1:40 - Jump in at ryu while you have life lead… No sir. He still has to come to you bro. =P
1:52 - way to go for broke man, I like where you were going but it didn’t work out. Are you drumming mk and hk to give yourself four chances of super activating? negative edge is your friend!
Final Tip: Dash ultra would of won you the match, something I didn’t see you try to attempt. Incorporate this into your game and chun with u1 is 10x more scary. Good luck and keep reppin’ the thighs well man!
Edit: one more thing, you didn’t short short ex legs one time that whole match, wwwwwaaaaaaaat?
I noticed a lot of walking into standing strong range and then backing off. Didn’t watch it more than once, but I’d suggest getting in that Ryu’s face more to do tic throws and close range mixups.
You were kinda being semi aggressive. You kinda did back off in some pokes, I think this would have turned out better if you defensively watched what he was doing in those jump ins and block strings to break that pattern. I was surprised that you didn’t catch on to his habits, you could have really did some damage and shut him down if you kept punishing his fireballs with jump in target combo into SBK. Overall I think that match was alright.
