Hey guys, I plan on starting to post more/contribute more to this thread. Trying to get better, need your guys help! Hoping you can critique my Chun. Sorry for the low volume, I’ll fix it next time.

Thanks in advance!
I think he’s referring to the ridiculously complex option select he posted about a while back.
It’s basically the cr.fp xx Legs with a throw option select behind it.
nah it’s os block/throwtech/jumpback throw or alternetively j.hk
that ryu was a bit jump happy but a lot of people are vs chun but she does have answers, i would say watch your watch how your opponent reacts, example you hit HSU then instantly he jumped in like i said he jumped a lot and work on anti airs low forward for shoto’s is good and crouch strong. Just watch your spacing as well
What was that one option select you made with cr.fp xx legs? It was crazy.
Delayed c.hp~lp+lp,hk~mk~lk, hk on someones wakeup?
Catches pretty much everything except wakeup jump and can get randomed out by delayed mash.
Ofc a few characters can just backdash away from it.
Trying to post one every night. This one is kind of long. Chun mirror is so dumb. Anyways, thanks in advance for the critique.
Would be cool if you could turn on your button inputs.
Eh. I didn’t know t’was the format around here. I’ll do that next time, thanks for watching though if you did.
edit: Well, here’s another video with inputs, and me playing slightly better.

I personally feel like button inputs detracts from the game unless you’re studying option selects.
Especially in those online matches where your opponent is mashing the fuck out of his controller.
Good shit to gunslinger for getting the closest to the Desk Bounty!
Shoryuken - 99+ hit U2 combo [$50 bounty results]
p.s. Prepare for your youtube channel to blow up if it hasn’t already
I would’ve tried the Desk Bounty if my capture card worked on my old-ass TV. Sigh. I miss college life where I could record vids on my roommate’s TVs.
Here’s an actual good mirror match. If you disagree with me i kick u.

There’s a nice setup here where mauyu sees the cl.hk cancel into hansanshu and parrys with fa for a nice combo. For the most part it’s a close matchup up until Haneyama wakes up and remembers he’s Haneyama. Very entertaining.
edit: acutally this guys youtube channel is pretty boss. here another one with this He’s got some solid execution.
Thanks Raiden. I would have loved to have gotten to the end of that combo, even if I had missed the ultra, it would have looked semi-complete. Doing this combo has helped me to be more confident about pulling out the loop on a more consistent basis now, though I doubt I would try to go for anything as complex as desk’s variation lol
It looks sweet on paper anyways. I still prefer to end the first mk.ll with cr/st.lp > st.fp. I’m going to enter pretty big tournament coming up in a couple weeks and Diago, Wong, Ross, Air, and Gooteks amongst others are going to be there and if I run into them in pools I won’t even think about trying to land that link. The thought won’t even cross my mind for a second. It’s way too risky for such little reward. I can feel the hate train coming already but I don’t think I’ll be changing my mind about it at all.
p.s. Does anyone have any specific tips against those guys other than stick your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye and try not to embarrass the thigh? I’m gonna try and xcopy y24 from when he beat Diago. At the very least I hope not to get double p’d that way. No Rkellys for me thank you very much.
It’s wise not to attempt crazy ass 1f links in tournaments unless you are a game up and have a huge life lead and want to actually style on them. I generally like to follow up the first mk.ll with c.lk xx ex legs because of the knockdown, and continue pressure, or if you feel like you want to push for a life lead or go for a kill, follow up with super if you have it.
What I actually love about being to do the loop, is that after the first loop, players stop spamming reversals/ultra and sometimes concede for the combo to finish and don’t spam on the 2nd loop. What I like to do after this is go for even a cr.fierce xx hazanshu, or a c.lp xx hazanshu. It resets, and if they continue to block down, you can follow up hazanshu with ex legs. I’ve used this with varying success and have taken 3/4 life against a rog player in one string. It’s high risk high reward, but the payoff is huge. I certainly don’t encourage it unless you’re really feeling it.
Anyway, good luck with the tournament. You have our utmost support. Do the thigh proud
Hey, are there videos of Desk playing? I was gonna say some clever troll reply but I was actually curious to see how he actually plays the game.
He doesn’t actually play much afaik, but I saw him play at SVB and he’s pretty good, he was using dictator at the time. And well for one he was option selecting backdash catches during his blockstring, which way too few players are doing imo.
