I was glad to see those meterless combos in the 3v3 because almost all the meterless ones we saw in the Mike vs Combofiend fight a few months ago seem to all be gone. Regular legs being unsafe on block is disappointing cause so far her pressure doesn’t seem to be good at all. I kinda hope V-trigger makes regular legs safer on block. Still liking her speed though. But it’s also looking like Cammy rapes her for free again at this current build.
You get the idea, I really like that Seven Star Assault. Super hype when you land it, and I’m really curious to see how they would implement the slow-mo effect and power behind this 1-hit super art with current generation graphics.
Holy mother of jiggling jades… Chun’s chest physics beats Rufus’ belly into oblivion no questions!
If you look closely, at least on the character select screen, there’s more physics bounce for the P2 character, very visible when both sides select the same character. I wonder why the settings are different, that’s a funky bug to have.
So after watching the stream last night just a few things i noticed about Chun that I thought where intresting
[] her movement speed is pretty good, same with her normals
[] she seems to have legit anti-airs this time arround
[] her v-skill seems alright ,it’s feels abit out of place ,but her v -trigger at this stage looks the worst so far
[] Sen’en Shuu is throwable but hits overhead, limited use but it still alright for a overhead
[] can link off legs
[] she seems the hardest to play atm
really looking forward to seeing combofiend playing her
think its settled in my mind im going to play her regardless
Coulda sworn he said you couldnt’ combo after legs, but we saw Mago(or was it Momochi?) link c.lp into SBK after.
Anyways, Houyouksen or not, all the other variations are similar. And they shouldn’t change much, if at all. It lets each character retain their iconic abilities.
I wonder if you can juggle her V-trigger anti-air st. MP into things like super. James Chen pointed out during the 3v3 that it puts them in a knockdown state (meaning she can possibly juggle stuff after).
So, as I’ve suspected, the multi-hitting mp is gone. It’s only one hit now.
Air spinning kick is also gone.
And it seems her new Kintekishu and followups (b+mk) we saw in the older build are also gone. I was really loving it. Pity.
I like them too, but this is still in the beta phase. Some of the moves may return, some of the moves she has now may be removed. You never know until the final product is out.
