Chun-Li Combos and Glitches

He landed, but it doesn’t look like it. It’s a neat trick, Viper has one with her Burning Kick too.

What the heck? I’d also like to know what happened there…:looney:

Edit: Guess it’s just the video playing tricks on me.

You can just cancel the frames so it looks like an air one or a bounce off the ground. Use to make me think she could do an air one but real low to the ground until I played as her

something funny: Kintekiisu into Tenkukyaku cancels into super :V

I just want an expert opinion on this.

You know when you hit someone out of the air with fierce punch and then on the way down you get three head stomps? Is that situational, or do you always get it as extra damage and therefore I should practice the hell out of it?

By expert opinion I don’t mean that certain people can’t answer, just anyone in this thread is fine.

What are the most damaging combos after a crumple?

I’ve been doing c.HP > MK SBK [307] or if I have meter HK > EX legs [305].

Do you guys have anything better or worth trying? Also curious about setups as well, not just damage.

It’s situational. I’d practice it but don’t expect to get it much in a real match.

Those are pretty much the best combos after a crumple.

Also, crumple->ultra; probably goes without saying.

Here’s kind of a flashy, yet, impractical combo I came up with.

LP Kikoken > FADC > Dash > Dash > DF.RH > B.MK > B.MK > EX Lightning Legs > Ultra.

Spacing is a little difficult as is the timing but not that that really matters. Not seeing this appear in a match anytime soon.

I noticed that low short X4 does just as much damage as pretty much any other combo that starts with low short except her BnB. I was doing lk>lp>mk>kikoken & lk>lp>Sc short>FP. But I found out in training mode that low shortX4 is WAY easier & does pretty much the same damage. So why even bother doing anything else?

Another related question - do you guys usually dash forward when you land a focus attack? I haven’t figured out how to land focus attacks very well yet, but when I do they’re usually a bit far away for me to do anything besides just sweep.

You must dash foreward as it’s hitting. It cancels the recovery frames & you are right up in their grill. The combos listed above are awesome once you get the focus down.

Yea, you can input those dashes really early and get back to charging. If you don’t dash it can be pretty hard to do anything meaningful with lvl 1->2 FA.

what are the inputs for low shortX2-3 into ex LL?

as of the moment, i am doing short short, mashing trigger and sometimes it lands and sometimes it gets blocked… any input?

What I am doing for cr lk x3 into EX legs is lk, lk, mk, lk, mk, KKK.
The timing is easy and the medium kicks won’t come out at all if you time your inputs properly.

are you just tapping mk in between to buffer? ill give this a shot

ultra juggle

so i haven’t confirmed this with every character, but for those hard to hit characters with the corner ultra juggle, as i long suspected it’s all about space. tried it in training on akuma, boxer, and dictator(all notoriously hard to hit) and with their front foot 2 lines from the center red line(so one dark shaded square and one light square between them and center) did 2 crouching shorts ex legs ultra and the whole thing hit. i’ve done this on abel in actual gameplay in the arcade many times as well(also a character who falls out). so as long as you do the ultra so that chun doesn’t end up in the corner but the launcher still connects you can hit the full ultra juggle on every character; i strongly suspect.

Yup, and it works really well imo.
You can give it a go for sure :).

The method that many of us use is:

cr.LK, cr.LK, cr.LK, cr.LK, LK + MK.

The bolded are the ones that actually come out, so basically you’re double tapping each cr.LK then hitting 2 kicks simultaneously for the EX Legs.

seeing as no1 was able to answer my question, i figured out how to do it on my own anyhow if someone still wanted to answer it. it’s no longer needed
