I was once stopped by cops because they heard a car peel out as I was pulling into the parking lot. 7 cops and 6 patrol cars show up. The last cop appears and he is the only minority, the first thing he asks “Why are there so many cops here?”. Because we have two minorities in a nice car…
Just to ease the conversation back into place, apparently the LAPD STILL hasn’t ID’d the body in the cabin.
It takes a few days to positively ID a body, especially when it’s burned to a fucking crisp. All they have is a driver’s license, which everybody is hoping they planted.
Almost every time I have needed a cop, they’ve been 100% useless to me. And then there was that time I got into an argument with a bitch on the interwebz, and told her I wished i could slit my wrists so I wouldn’t have to listen to her anymore, and that she would drown in the blood so nobody else would have to listen to her, and then 30 mins later I have cops at my door with a printout of the ICQ conversation asking me why I would say something like that. I laughed and slammed the door in his face.
I don’t hate cops, I just find that they’re pretty much fucking useless. Unless they witness a crime in action, or somebody important gets affected, they ain’t solving dick all.
Don’t even get me started on when I had a dude in my house with a sword trying to kill me, and the cops show up, tell me they can’t legally enter his room, then fucking leave.

whatever the case may be, no reason for a 45-60 minute delay between a 911 call and arrival of one time is of any help or peace of mind when you need them ASAP.
not sure how your second sentence doesn’t negate the first, but it illustrates my feelings on police in general. Being a cop is a shitty job. You deal with the worst elements of society on a daily basis. Anybody who actually WANTS to be a cop must be so fucked up in the head that I, personally, don’t think they should be allowed to even own a firearm let alone be tasked with protecting the rest of society. Even if they start out okay, it’s easy to see how dealing with shit every day could warp an otherwise decent person into a bad cop. It’s a tough problem, and I suppose the only good solution is better oversight of police departments.
Dorner was crazy and a bad guy, but he doesn’t seem to have been any crazier or worse than any other cop.that’s silly, I’ll retract that… One thing I agree with him on is that it’s not just enough for the Good Cops (let’s assume they’re the majority of officers) to not be actively abusing their power if they aren’t going to stand up against the minority of Bad Cops.
What does make him worse is killing two people, and then being an outright loon

I read all of his manifesto, it was surprisingly well written for someone who is supposedly a complete sociopath, but it does ramble at the end a bit as it gradually turns into a suicide letter.
Essentially he was upset because he was fired over a report he filed about another cop using excessive force in kicking a mentally challenged suspect. Allegedly, the department banded together and instead accused him of fabricating reports and fired him. And I guess somehow that wasn’t very good for his employment prospects back in the Navy, so you can see how it escalated. All of it sounds pretty feasible, if unsurprising.
Escalating it to a full blown murderous campaign against the families of the perceived dirty cops involved and even vowing to kill regular patrolmen that stopped him seems a little excessive though.
But this bit from his manifesto really sheds some light on the thought process of a psychopathic killer…

Killing those people was wrong. Attracting attention to the politics of the police force is was a part of was the right thing to do. He apparently thought this was the only way to go about getting his point across, probably not the case. He could have gotten a real journalist to do the things he asked them to do in his manifesto (I feel silly for using that word to describe it).
I just reread the thread, and damn I can’t believe how badly I disagree with all but a few of dab00gs posts, I don’t want to fight about it or anything but man… <insert disagree_forum_tool_thing>… Also hate for Anonymous on the internet that isn’t a news organization website? #-o Never thought I’d see the day. I think even my mom kind of respects Anonymous lol.
I think Rock might be right about his estimation of the whole police//crime rate thing as well. I’ve met loads of shitty cops around where I live now and had lived while I was growing up, currently a country-ass town where all the cops are high school grads that fucked off for a year and never grew up and had no choice but to go to the academy. But in Pittsburgh I’ve had a couple decent conversations with different officers.
Dormer’s actions are proof of why he was never fit to where the uniform in the first place. As fucked up as the LAPD is, it’s a little bit less fucked up without him.
Anyone who has been paying attention to my stories over the years knows I’ve had more negative experiences with cops then 95% of SRK but the eagerness with which most of you have to beg Larry Davis to bust a nut all over your faces is disgusting.
Cops are people. Some people are assholes some aren’t, it just so happens to be the case that some cops are assholes with guns and IRL plot armor. It’s been my experiences that assholes (like myself) are louder than those who aren’t assholes and therefore command more attention. I think your view on cops boils down to whether you’re cynical or not and IMO cynicism is one of the world’s largest problems.
Anyone who lets their hate of some cops cloud their judgement to the point of condoning the actions of a crazed killer let alone worshipping him as some hero is a scrub at life and needs therapy. Or at least step away from the keyboard and try going outside once in a while.

Before you start popping off about how he’s sick at least get your facts straight. It was confirmed that all that extra banter about Tebow, Gianna Michaels and etc was all fabricated and fake. It was added on later and spread by someone pulling a prank. I agree he was sick and I somewhat understood his anger cause his manifesto was enlightening to say the least.
But I loathe when people form opinions off of fake/false/fabricated information. Do the knowledge man.
