but the same applies to lapd shooting up random innocent people because they are too fucking stupid to realize two tiny women != big black dude, and do not know how to identify a truck correctly. if those people had died, odds would be 10000:1 none of the cops would have gotten any punishment. i mean, in seattle some trigger happy cop shot a homeless wood carver who had a SHEATHED WOOD CARVING KNIFE, even after people in the crowd were shouting at the cop to stop.
did this murderer get jail time? NOPE, he just got fired. which is shocking, i figured he would’ve been promoted. meanwhile spd is still being investigated for random brutal beatings of minorities caught on tape. little to no punishment on any of it.

wrong. if your life is in danger, the cops are going to come too late. cops are who you call after the fact, oftentimes its too late at that point. if its something like a home burglary, they are absolutely worthless. its not like csi, where they magically find the burglar. its simply not important to them. they’ll shrug, take a report, and that will be that. so really, the only benefit police provide is if your neighbors are loud and drunk and you want them to STFU, you call the cops, who will come over and stop the party. although this is not recommended if your neighbors are minorities, because there’s a HIGH chance the cops will brutally murder kill your neighbors.
also, the other reason you are absolutely wrong is precisely because cops are who we are supposed to turn to for help. if they are shooting up innocent people, beating minorities and often murdering them in plain sight with no repercussion, how is that supposed to make anyone feel safer?

The attitude I sense from most police officers is that they’re overly proud and have a “don’t fuck with us” mentality. Which is clearly not a responsible attitude for someone with enhanced legal power. There was no way a dedicated cop killer was ever going anywhere but a casket.

Let’s be honest here: there are people who have a taste for violence and authority and there are people who don’t. Those who deplore violence and authority aren’t going to become cops, and even if they did, how would they ever be able to do the job? So who’s left?<br>
