nah you dont need to get the knockdown hit, you can connect the combo midscreen with H smartbombs just a specific timng to connect the proton cannon.( they still have to be on fire from the smartbombs during the super freeze)
Heres a variation off of a unfly.
ADF:m::d::h: FLY :l:
:h::u::h: UNFLY DJ
:d::h::d:
:s: From here you can do whatever you want.
Another one that is a lot like this goes.
ADF:m::d::h: FLY :l:
:h: Unfly (while your falling)
DJ
:d::h: :s: :d:
:s: finish the juggle however you want.
UPDATE!
Easy and simple BnB! Strongest Yet
Ok so the forum has been silent here for awhile, came up with this juggle that’s easy and does about 713K+ damage with proton 1 meter. Here is the notation, I’ve done this on average size characters and Large, I am still trying to figure out an alternation for small characters. What’s great about this combo, you build 1 3/4 meter, with a finish you are left with 3/4 Meter!
New BnB Simple, Effective, 513K+ Damage Without Super Combo Builds 1 3/4 Meter!!
:d: Standing :h: FLY, :l:
:h: :s: Land, Jump
:d: :h: :s: :d:
Standing :h: :s: Super Jump,
:h: :d: :h: DJ :h: :s: = 513,500 Damage no proton cannon, with proton cannon it does 713K.
More Damage Variation, Still Simple!
Note, if you do the overhead into :d: standing :h: as the start up, the combo does 539,300 Damage. I’ll find a variation for smaller characters without bombs and proton cannon. Also, when doing the DJ in SJ you can do :h: :d: :h: :s: didn’t post damage. The first combo feels like a solid BnB, easy to pull off during matches.
Both variations: Tri Jump Start + Proton Cannon= **718,500K **damage 1 meter
Fly Overhead Start + Proton Cannon = **742,000 **damage 1 Meter (With H Bombs)= **748,700 **Damage
Touch of Death Combo X Factor Not Included:wasted:
TOD Combo Needs Lvl 3 Same as one :u: However, you do not finish with proton cannon, and OTG with H bombs Iron Avenger. No X Factor Either, **1,001,300 **98 Hits.
Note: Yes this works on sentinel, he’s so big you need to do :l:
:h: :s: while on flight mode after :d:
:h: Fly. Update You will have to do this for smaller characters such as wolverine, x-23! I am unable to perform this on Joe, Arthur, Morrigan, Amaterasu, Felicia, Zero, still looking for a variation that will work.
Update, for smaller characters I have not found a simply BnB, but seeing the damage Styles relaunch does the highest damage so far, I was able to find combo that was consistant but not pushing over 500K unfortunately. The first combo with or without the overhead or trijump feels like a solid BnB, easy to pull off during match, not so difficult. Otherwise, the most damaging BnB I’ve been able to do against smaller characters is the Styles Relaunch
I do not have a capture card, but if anyone does and would like to make a short video of this please do, this BnB is not that difficult and it is not hard to pull off during match play.
Dunno about midscreen, but in the corner u can just neutral jump after the fly and swap the first j.M for a j.L to get the combo to work on Amy. Does 505,200 dmg or 714,000 dmg with H Smartbomb xx Proton Cannon.
I’m having trouble landing the M, M after the first fly on this combo…
Also, I’m really annoyed by the fact that during a real match, a lot of times (specially if you start with a trijump M) you won’t be able to connect that crap launcher afterwards…you have to be really close for everything to go smooth (even the fly L can sometimes be too far to connect…).
Hey guys,
I’m back in the states, super excited for more training mode tonight.
After examining the “krispy” BnB: a few things come to mind.
- I don’t like the J.A so early in the combo, This MURDERS our DMG potential. I will investigate going to fly-state without linking J.A so earely, most likely using an assist to link (F)J.C.
-I was wondering how the combo all beat with so many air hits, and then this theory dawned on me. I have the current understanding that the game has (2) types of categories for attacks(player on the grounded & player in the air). These two categories decay separately, meaning after you’ve exhausted all of your ground hit-stun potential, you can launch in the air and there is no limitations (yet). This new theory I see with the Krispy BnB is that “Fly-stance” is itself it’s own category. Meaning, we can prioritize staying in (Fly) until that hit-stun decay’s, than proceeding to another category for that new hits-stun.
-Iron Man on the ground
-Iron Man in the air (jumping, super jumping)
-Iron Man Flying
(OTG’s hurt every type of category)
-Lastly, IronMan has some capable ground strings, not many have really developed this yet.
This is just a theory and I will be investigating some more everyone.
Thanks,
Kyle
After you go into unfly mode with :s: jump immediately and hit
:d: :h: :s: if your
is not connecting your not hitting them soon enough, or if you are not using a medium sized character the first notation for fly mode hit :l:
:h: :s: works so far on Wolverine, Akuma, Ryu, X-23, captain America, Skrull. Other wise when you go into flight just input :l:
:h: :s: I did this on doom first, than I started testing the combo on other characters.
attack seems to raise the character up higher, so you are able to connect the jumping
:d: :h:
I hardly have a hard time mixing up ironman with pressure strings, I use drone assist and tri jump in and go for fly overhead set ups, a habbit I got from using magneto. relying on ironman solo is difficult.
Your going to practice this a bit, but once you get the hang of it this combo is easy.
Smaller characters are a pain, I tried this on Zero and the timing is very strict mid screen for that first attack while in flight. I noticed I whiffed the first :l: in flight mode consistantly untill I started to time it better. But I found myself doing the combo easier in the corner.
The only combo I use on smaller characters such as Amy, Zero, Joe, is the styles relaunch. does 512K damage.
I’m missing the second M actually. First one hits, but then IM is too high up for the second one. But I do agree this is quite an easy combo with BnB potential…I’ll try it some more when I get home.
Anyway, I gotta ask, what’s this Styles Relaunch you’re refering to? I looked it up here and on Youtube to no avail.
Depends on the character your doing this on as well, certain characters have the same inputs, this combo feels character specific. I performed this first on doom with the :l: :h: :s:, Jump
:d: :h: :s: landing :d:
:h: :s: and air juggle. Remember, Character specific some notations are different for others. I have not had time to post notations for everyone character, but I will soon.
The styles relaunch is this,
yeah i agree that J.A so early wouldnt be a first choice in general but it is the only iron man attack that connects fast enough off of filght on all types of characters.
if there is another way its probably ridiculous to pull off.
Assist are a good idea you just might need to dash in to compensate for the pushback. And i think ironmans potential ground/flight strings is where the damage s at.
ive been trying to find a way to do 2 flights in a ground string but i got nothing so far.
The only 2 flight strings I’ve been able to do take place in the corner, IM doesn’t suffer much pushback from a s :h: midscreen is difficult beucase trying to level the character in that low/mid for another flight mode combo gives me problems.
My findings guys:
-Corner throw, 623A, A, B, C, S into whatever. (much more dmg than our previous version = OTG, PCannon) This only works because the throw KnockDown puts them FaceDownFeetToward, while J.S KnockDown puts the opponent FaceUpFeetTowards.
-After trying numerous examples and trials, I am under the impressions that (F) attacks are in the same “decay category” as grounded attacks. Another rule is “minimum hits-stun” after “decay is maximized” allows certain thing to always combo. (EX:2B, S & S, anyhit). To prove my theory I use this example:
In corner:
Tri-jump-B “for mix-ups”: (F)B, (F)C, (F)2C, J.S, Assist hits, (F)J.C, (F)J.2C, J.S, C, S “This does not combo here”
In corner:
Tri-jump-B “for mix-ups”: (F)B, (F)C, (F)2C, J.S, Assist hits, (F)J.2C, J.S, C, S, J.C, (F)B, (F)2C, J.2C, Land, C, S, J.C, Jump Cancel, J.2C, J.S, TigerKnee SmartBomb-A, J.S, Land, B, DP-Cannon
Really we are comparing ground damage of:
2B, C, (F)A, (F)B, (F)C, (F)2C…
versus
2B, C, 2C, B, Assist, Dash, C, S…
My thought on the “blown-up” re-launch “ADDF” Stuff.
-Too difficult for consistancy. However I do like the idea of using Unfly, Airdash into a link. I tried to find other ways of comboing into (F), but my only break through was:
2B, S, (F)8C, (unfly), ADU, J.2C.
This leaves them way too high for any relaunch or possible loops… how to get them lower and get into fly mode without all those J.A’s…?
Any ideas anyone? I’m feeling exhausted of options?
Get them lower by doing H as soon as you launch into the fly unfly then HOLD DF wait* then MK dfH addf yadda yadda
On larger characters jump.straight up for consisentsy , for little people jump upforward for consistentsy
just saying
combo wise i think ironman is done lmao unless you want some smartbomb combos or anything messing with xfactor
I think everyone on ironman forums should focus on resets and midscreen zoning cause pulling off potential bnb and all other variations is near impossible on most characters in a real match. People just need to find ways to use their assists to get air grab after a basic combo, since air grabs are so good in this game and do the normal relaunch combo which always end with smartbomb so you get a mixup of either an air grab into combo again or a basic magic series if they try to mash out of the air grab. I’ll keep practicing potential bnb till I get it down but imo iron man is about zoning mostly.
Well, I will make a collaborative list of our “ideal” combos soon:
I am posing a few questions, hopefully we can collectively come up with the solutions.
1.) What is the largest potential from an aerial exchange into Iron Man?
2.) Does Iron Man have any x-factor loops & at what levels?
3.) Can Iron Man DHC-dmg reset? I have been trying with felicia & Joe… but to no avail.
4.) Lastly, I believe the answer to my previously posted question : … how to get them lower and get into fly mode without all those J.A’s…?: is w/ V-Joe & Amie’s SLOW hypers. I will be working on this later today. Gonna get badass (F) combos on lock.
Thanks,
Kyle
Krispy’s BnB is pretty easy to pull of in a real match and builds the most meter out of all of them. It also works on all characters which is something not true of pretty much every other potential BnB.
Relauch 6239 a 2b S (which combos because 2b causes knockdown btw, ignoring hitstun) does not have terribly high damage reduction. Using it somewhat late, getting an air combo again, reknocking down, air 6239 a, 2b s 2369atkatk might yeild some high damage.
Nice Destin, I have done something similar.
Corner Version:
V-Joe, Slow, high/low mix-up, S, J.C, Exchange into Iron Man:
Delay, J.C, Jump, J.C, J.2C, (F)J.C, (F)J.2C, J.2C, Land, C, S, J.C, A-SMartBomb, J.C, Jump, J.C, J.2C, J.S, Land, TK-A-SmartBomb, J.S: (here it’s one of two options)
for the kill: B, Pcannon,
For the Mix-ups: SnapBack
See video thread plz.
EDIT: Now that I understand the DHC trick, Iron Man can not initiate the glitch. =( he doesn’t have a “special hit-state” - Unless someone else finds something new. =p
EDIT AGAIN:
Midscreen version
V-Joe, Slow, high/low mix-up, S, J.C, Exchange into Iron Man:
Delay, J.C, Jump, J.C, J.2C, (F)J.C, (F)J.2C, J.C, Land, Dash, J.C, A-SmartBomb, J.C, Jump, J.2C, J.S, Land, Jump, A-SmartBomb, ADDF, J.C, Land, PCannon
EDIT AGAIN:
Iron Man combo worth 930K. Easy hit-confirm from virtually full screen. Cost A LOT Of resources tho. =/
C-Unibeam, X-Factor, Iron Avenger, Dash, Crouch, Dash, A-SMartBomb, PCannon
Thanks,
Kyle
