How would an airport extreme improve your wireless play. Aren’t there equally as good wireless routers for cheaper?

urban_ex - wireless connections are generally unreliable, so a lot of issues can happen (such as lag). there can be a lot of signal interference, especially in populated areas. just something good to know. which is why wired connections are recommended.

Wireless has certainly improved since the good-ol-days where packet loss ran rampant but it’s still not as reliable as a solid wired connection.
We don’t know your housing situation so maybe you’re forced to use wireless but if you can get a cable hooked up to your PS3 then I’d say go for it.
There’s also something new that I installed for a friend. He lives on the third floor of an old Beverly house. He couldn’t use wireless and he couldn’t put an ethernet cable through the wall. He found this thing called the PowerlinePlus or something. It actually sends the connection through the electrical wiring in the house. It works pretty well.

and im not doing it wirelessly. its wired with the ethernet and im still getting nat3. everytime i would go to network battle and try to find a room it would say no available sessions are found. i called apple and sony and none of them could help 
and im usually at gw on tues/wed/thurs stacking the machines lol
