really though, even on a pad you shouldn’t need FA or throw macros, it’s 2 buttons to press… not terribly difficult.
Pretty much…but if the dudes been using a throw button for 8 months playing the game, I’m not gonna tell him he’s gotta change. I don’t see how a throw/focus button is an advantage. Especially for a pad player.
It is more principal on my feelings towards button macros, I don’t fear it, in all fairness it shouldn’t be allowed outside of the 3p, 3k since those come stock on default controls. I don’t mind remapping for comfort, but being able to macro fa and throw in my opinion is just not cool.

A2 on saturn is the only game I’ll pad macro due the fucking v-claw you have to form with your fingers to hit that shit…and due to the fact that the only definitive console version is on saturn

OK. So, here’s the “indecent” part of my proposal, for the GW tournament. Who’s gonna pimp himself out to me?
Details -
I’ll pay for your $10 entry fee, and you’ll of course have to be decent to carry this scrubby Vega, and if we end up in-the-money, then we split the winnings by how many matches we win, with the caveat that I play first. So, if I never win a single match, and you have to carry me by beating both players in the opponent team all the way, then obviously you’ll get all the prize money (if somehow miraculously we are in-the-money).

Ferreal. I played pad when I first got SF4 and could easily focus and throw. It’s just laying your thumb down across two buttons.
Lol, kids complaining about 2-button presses on pad. None of these new school SF players played Guilty Gear on pad.
And because I want to put in my two cents… Someone used tennis as an example earlier. All sanctioned tournaments in the ATP World Tour consist matches decided in 2/3 sets. The only 3/5 set tournaments are the four annual Grand Slams: Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and US Open. Minor tournaments single elimination, majors double? Food for thought.
No one actually complained about it. I don’t use a pad…or any button mapping. I just don’t see it as a big issue if people want to change their buttons. Was just wondering why it was a big deal to Eric or anyone, really.
