Takes up way less space, doesn’t it? The big perf-board will be trimmed down all the way to the black ground bus line on the left, I’m using the ground bus lines in the center and on the right, and the VCC bus in the center and on the top…this way an over-trim won’t hurt the board at all.

PROTIP: after every solder joint, check for continuity between the ground and VCC, just in case you have a joint there you can’t actually see. Also, .015 solder + super fine pencil iron = fucking tits.

Since I last punched in, I had a grandfather die and leave me his house with a reverse mortgage on it, I have no idea in the fuck how that even happens, or what happens from here. So that’s big news.

I’ve been marking out with Arkham Asylum. It’s probably the best game this year so far as an overall package, fg’s notwithstanding.
Probably worth a rental for the few days it takes to beat it, rather than a purchase unless you’re hardcore Batman fanboy steez.

I’m going to condense all the fighting game channels this weekend into just the Chicago SF channel, cause I really don’t think the extra channels are needed at this point and it’ll be easier for everyone to talk to eachother.
the other guys that don’t play in chicago sf are all our old phantasy star universe players. they just play other pc strategy games now (think a few actually play starcraft if any of you want to use vent for it). you can chat it up with them if you want, but don’t expect them to know anything about fightig games, lol.
I tried using chatzilla last night and nobody was talking in the irc channel so I just left it idle while I did other shit. I started to notice extreme slowdown though when I was working on some art…which was odd. I’ve got a core 2 duo with 4 gigs memory, a 8800gt vid card, and I’ve never encountered any slowdown or lag when working on projects, or playing games for that matter. is that add on a resource hog? I think I’m just gonna download mirc and install it on my vent-only pc so it doesn’t interfere with anything else I’m doing.
