Ahh good stuff on the progress, I guess dashes are hardest cause you never used those muscles that much before. Its the ones on the backside of your hand and the one on the side upper wrist area that you need to probably develop a tad more. You guys have it easy these days, when I had to convert to stick(arcade)we had American sticks with concave buttons…if you want to know how much that hurts play the 3s cabinet at GGA for at least 15 minutes.

Im a new guy and been playing ssf4 since vanilla but I recently just decided that I want to actually try and compete on a tourney lvl in SSF4 (tough talk from a newb I know lol) in the near future! I checked the places you guys play at and im not too far at all! I actually just picked up a fightstick 2 days ago so im super scrubby so im thinking about waiting another week until i come out to GGA on wednedays, but I guess it depends if I make any progress over the next couple days or not.

I am willing to bring games/console. Im serious about leveling up in ssf4ae and I hear offline is the best way so im on it! btw ty in advance to everybody who is trying 2 establish a scene here…imma do my part 
no joke on that. I remember back in like 99 my brother went to MWC and ended up spraining his wrist on those cabinets at nickle city. I’m still not sure exactly how that happened lol. But his one hand was swollen for a few weeks after that.
those nickel city cabs still hurt my wrists. when we were playing MvC2 there regularly I needed a wrist brace because it was wearing my wrist out (and I still couldn’t play well on them).
glad madcatz killed off the US sticks lol.
usually the trade-off for less strength needed with JP sticks was that you needed to be more controlled/precise in your movements. the popular games out now are much easier to execute in anyway so that isn’t as much of an issue.

It was very dead. Mostly just played my friend, who I play all the time anyways

What’s everyone’s plans for later this coming week? From Tues - Thurs ? I don’t have any plans at the moment and I would like to host another gaming session. If anyone is interested in that let me know. I have 3 screens to play on, and a semi roomy basement. PM me if you are interested in that.

I think parties or what not being booked takes priority over the regular gatherings but more or less ya it’ll be going down on a weekly basis AS LONG AS PEOPLE GO AND SUPPORT WHAT DOC, DOMINGO, AND THE REST OF GGA HAVE SET UP FOR US.
Parties being booked on Wednesday almost never happens at GGA, but I would inform you guys on Mondays if the game rooms are booked. If I don’t say anything that means that it is going down!!! Galloping Ghost Arcade THIS WEDNESDAY GUYS, Already have a ton of players coming, come check it out!

Regarding the Wednesday nights at GGA, I have a work meeting every Wednesday this summer from 2-4. So if anyone needs a ride from the North (Evanston, Skokie, Rogers Park area), let me know. I drive a Lancer so can’t fit more than 4 people.
