CHICAGO 2016-2017 Thread: Welcome New Players, check out the Facebook Group page as its more active!

im there tonight, bringing my PS3/AE.

Thanks Chris, much appreciated :).

How many people usually make it out to XIII on tuesdays? just curious.

Unfortunately tonight i wont be able to make it again… However this is the last week that this is gonna be a problem starting next week i should get to become a regular. Just gotta get done being sick, since my work schedule has changed on tuesdays for now.
Any one ready to face Chi-towns Free-ist, cuz i think thats gonna be my name for awhile, at least till you guys help me up my game.

I feel like playing this week. Where is the Thursdays gatherings, I have been hearing about?

Up-to-date info on all the gatherings for this week is available in the first couple of posts of this thread.

No troueny this week:(.

I’m thinking about modding my SE stick actually… How much for a set of 6? And does anyone know how to install them? I tried taking out the stock buttons before in the past but I’m scared I might mess up the wires or something lol.

make a map or do it one at a time…

ah its not very hard, i can help u if u want.

How many people are going to play some MK at GGA tomorrow? I don’t want to lug around my big ass PDP stick if there aren’t people and a PS3 to play it on (not dual modded, I’ll have my MK disc in the stick, though, if I bring it).

Otherwise I’ll just hang around that KoF set up, see if that 3-1 button set up is better than the 2-2 on GGA’s machine (can’t see how it wouldn’t be). I need to get the feel for that game still, it’s difficult getting your combo timing down while someone is pummeling you. Maybe I should pick up Raiden so I can keep copying Hero, and because maskless, purple Raiden (aka the Grapist) is the best color palette in the game.

I’ll bring Arcana Heart, too, if anyone is interested.

Just don’t pull on the wires to get the quick disconnects loose. Use a small screwdriver or butter knife to get under them and pry them up.

Gratz on the fightstick. When I first bought mine it took me a while to get used to. You’ll get the hang of it after about a month or maybe less lol

a whole month :frowning: how about 2 weeks, thats much faster

We stopped playing it awhile ago because of the lack of any real nearby scene. If your interested though I wouldn’t mind trying to pick it back up.

Lol it would probably take me longer. I’m new to the whole fighting game scene.

You’ll pick it up faster then you think. When I was playing on pad I couldn’t do Balrog’s headbutt into ultra for the life of me. Ten minutes after messing around on a stick and I got it.

Anyway see everyone at GGA, hopefully I don’t get bodied too hard.

Stay playing Marbless so I can own Joo’zzzzz

GGs at AreaXIII, cant wait for GGA now!!! REMEMBER TO BRING SETUPS; Speakers, Power strips, Extra Screens(just in case), Systems, Games and Controllers!!! They mentioned that they would have around 5-7 Asus 27 inch LCDs for us to use, I think those have built in speakers but i have no idea how loud they go. Sounds like its going to be a very good showing at GGA, dont miss out!! Also remember that its only $5 to play strictly in the Game Rooms and $15 to play in both(arcade floor and game rooms).

@lurch i will be at GGA tomorrow and most definitely be playing MK most if not all of the time, so bring your colossus stick if you wish!

Dfly should be there too playing that MK and SSF4.
