I talked with the people at this local joint game a palooza about hosting tournies there since they basically let any community do it as long as they speak up and show interest. just last week they had 45 ppl for fucking melee. they always do $5 entry and the night of there tournies they do freeplay till like 12 or 1. any way its in the nw burbs my town crystal lake to be exact. I kinda wanna gauge interest in this since this place is really interested in boosting the frequency of there events and more gatherings / tournies is always better. a no brainer win win really.
i’d be down if there was a joliet area gathering, i live ~20 miles which isnt that bad especially since most of it is going down 80
@yungkratos up until a month ago i used to live in woodstock, i cant believe there was 45 smash players in the area lol. im almost 2 hours away now though but if there was a tournament or something i might be able to make the trip on a weekend but i wouldnt be able to do weekly or anything like that

Anyone in the Joliet/Plainfield/Romeoville area who is free tomorrow during the day (like before 3pm)? I’m out here visiting family, but everyone is at work until 4/5pm. So, I’ve got nothing to do. I have my stick with me and my laptop with a certain, new game on it. I’d be down for playing other stuff, too.

Wonder what they did differently this time around then, 'cause the last time they had a melee tournament it was about 10 people and a friend of mine and I brushed up a bit and swept the field, lol. (melee may suck but free money is free money). Either way, I and probably some people I know would certainly be down.

AREAXIII tournament tonight, Doors open at 6:30pm. MvC3 and MK will start at 8pm. SSF4:AE will start at 10pm. Please bring setups so the tournaments can run smoothly and quickly.

You are always off on what place we go to but no worries ill help…Tuesdays is AreaXIII, Thursdays is GW, every other Friday is AreaXIII and people been going to GGA on Saturdays now.
Arturo and someone else get a hold of Doc at GGA and start the Saturday gameroom gatherings for $10. He said he was down for it, I would do it but I just dont have time to do all that again and frankly kind of tired of doing it. But he is willing to do it if people get on it.
Also, I AM UPDATING THE OPs(Original Posts) to include the date of the weekend and monthly events/tournaments that are up and coming as well as overhauling everyone’s gamer-tags and location in a cleaner fashion. If you didn’t include your real name it will not be added until you do so.
