I need some SSF4 and Marvel matchup experience without fucking lag ruining my shit.
Where do people meet up these days? I won’t be able to make it out often (no job and no money make Zeal something-something) but showing up sometime would be better than showing up never.
I live in the Humboldt Park/Wicker Park area so MTG Chicago is quite convenient. It’s just one quick bus ride. I’d be willing to go there whenever if something is ever set up. I’m mostly focused on MK9 right now but I play everything else. Although I haven’t played MvC3 in awhile… I probably don’t remember how to do anything anymore.
I guess I should introduce myself like everyone else. My name is Keon, and I live in Summit. Summit is about ten minutes away from Brookfield’s GGA. Currently I play Marvel (intermediate level I suppose) and SSF4/AE. (I’m ass at both versions) I do have MK9 and BlazeBlue but I don’t really play them, so I only know the basics. I’m also interested in learning to play Vampire Savior. I play a little bit of it on GGPO but I don’t have the slightest clue of what I’m doing.

who can bring setups? (there setups are behind the counter, so it may be more convenient for us since we plug in arcade sticks to bring our own systems to setup).

I’d be up for gatherings on weekly northside any day, and depending on the exact location and time, I may be able to make southside gatherings as well.
If ranbats are to be held, I’d definitely be interested in running them i.e. drawing up the brackets and keeping track of the rankings. As previously said, I do that sort of thing for fun. (Also, it’s closely related to my research.)
if you woulda looked at some of the other threads there is a champaign/central IL scene mainly here in Champaign, IL which is about an hour or so for you. Latino Kourk is from Springfield and makes the trip out every so often.

Id be down for Ignite, but I can’t bring a setup since I’d be coming on CTA. As far as a reasonable price goes, anything over ten bucks a head would suck, five bucks a head is definitely reasonable.
I’m down for Monday, will be biking and can bring a stick but bringing a setup might be rough on the back.
