Or they should just make the quote system automatically convert the images to URLs.

@ souji - Thanks man. The metal flake paint I bought at the auto part store worked better than I thought. I was a little worried once I started the wet sanding, but once the clear went on everything was good to go. Since this was for someone else, I had to make sure the paint came out right. I really like how the yellow ended up too. If you see and feel it, it looks like a piece of acrylic. All the sanding, wet sanding, buffing and polishing takes time, but it is worth it.
I used you wood worker guyās suggestion of using poly as a clearcoat, and am so glad I did instead of a spray on enamal. Given the weather and time restraints, it was just so much easier to work with and sanded and buffed to a great shine.
@ d3v - the square activator doesnāt make it feel like a square at all. Since the switches arenāt levered, the activator hits the switch directly, but is small enough that it doesnāt hang on any of them. You can roll the stick 360 degrees and not catch an edge. Thatās one of the reasons many have a steep learning curve on a Sanwa or Seimeitsu stick and try to switch to an octo gate.

I took the plunge and modded my TvC stick with Sanwa parts. The stick made the biggest difference - no longer squishy & weird.

Dude nice (albeit uber simple) mod, that said I just dont get it, your stated mission growing up in american arcades was to get off japanese parts, yet all you did was replace some japanese parts with other japanese parts. I too grew up in american arcades and prefer battops to balltops, although I can do fine with balltop as needed. That said, none of your mods replicate in any way american arcade parts, American arcades were fueled by Happ parts, your new japanese buttons are still no where closer to a happ convex or concave in any stretch, nor has your battop octogate change in any significant way mimicked Happs Super, Competition, Ultimate or perfect 360 joysticks as none of them are gated at all and other than the 360 play more like square gates anyway.
Dont get me wrong, Im not critizing your mod, i too play battop/octo gate on my TE but I keep osbf30ās because imo they are way more responsive, Im only curious that seems to me the choices you made, to me, in no way reflect your stated goal. Sticking all Happ in a TE is a moderately more difficult mod, but if thats what you wanted why didnt you do it, and if thats not what you wanted, why did you say you did?
