Hey guys just wanted to show some of the custom sticks that I’ve done for my customers here in the Philippines. Hope you guys like it.

@ Jello : Great job, those look really nice…so glossy and shiny…keep it up!
Uh ok… Woah there dude
Let’s get this out of the way now…that video has nice production. Like a Michael Bay movie…
But where is the SUBSTANCE…
You swapped Japanese parts for IDENTICAL parts in the case of the buttons, although you made SURE to mention that the OBSFs were THREADED.
Sanwa Bat top.
Seimitsu spring.
Sanwa gate…
Oh! More Sanwa ! Buttons this time…
Dude you modded a TE, get this…into a TE…
And produced a goddamn slick video to showcase an absolute farce.
Having played in arcades with American parts, do you not feel the difference?
I’m sure I’m not the first to mention that “American” parts are HAPP…only HAPP.
So screwing on a bat top and swapping apples for threaded apples, so to speak is NOT an American setup.
But as you said in your over-produced video, whatever makes you happy.
If by happy you mean completely missing the MAJOR difference between American parts and Japanese parts…
Anybody else think this is kinda silly…The super slick video almost makes it worse…like a Michael Bay movie…maybe you should give up modding and make commercials.
Finally the local stick builder has posted! Haha!
Finally! About time you posted these!
Hmm, isn’t that a typo? Shouldn’t it be “Special Addition” since it’s the SA with all Sanwa parts and not the “Special Edition” with full Seimitsu?
This message is hidden because wetworker is on your ignore list.
That’s right, about the mistake!
I didn’t notice.
Laugh.
I’m trying to read the text.
Even when showing off his own stick, he still image quotes.
Also, calling a bat top and spring swap plus OBSNs “American style” is pure fail.
You forgot to show your “Premium Edition” casing which is quite boss IMO.

I’ve actually got an idea for this particular casing. Unfortunately, my budget is rather tight at the moment.

Nice job brotha.
Looks like you’ve made a gang of sticks already. What material do you use?
Damn Jello, I knew you were being modest! Those things are fantastic.
I love the look of those optical Ascii sticks Markman, I would love to get my hands on one (I’ve got a Namco, two boxed Agetecs, A full sanwa Agetec, and a boxed SE floating around if anyone’s willing to trade… I’m in the UK though!).
I’m excited about seeing your impending sticks, Souji, you have to be one of my favourite builders. If I ever pay a trip to see my brother in Kentucky, I might just order one and have it shipped there to save me from the international postage demon.
Jello990, those are some kick ass cases.

Sorry for the crappy cellphone picture - top plate of my current (first) WIP. The button layout is designed to fit the arch of my hand for 4/5 button games, with the extra thumb button being for taunt. I’m using the Neo Geo color layout for the top four buttons.
Good work man, how is the stick attached? Doesn’t look like the bolts are sitting on the top.
Looks like flush mounted screws/bolts.
Galing man, good job!
Its very nice! I like that black & white color scheme. And Noel there is lovely. :razzy:
It’s bottom mounted. I countersunk sink head screws into the surface, attached one thin bolt to each on the bottom side of the plexi as a spacer, slid the stick up onto them, and fastened it from below with more bolts.
Hell yeah, I’ve been wanting one of these and the huge sale that happened recently made it happen:

I really don’t get that wetworker stick either. The end product is nice, but the exact opposite of what the goal was when you started.
There is a world of difference between american Happ/IL style parts and japanese sticks and buttons. All that was accomplished in the mod was a jp stick with a slightly tighter spring, a jp bat top and jp buttons. So…you’re still essentially playing on a jp stick when you didn’t want to learn how to play on a jp stick. I’m really missing something.
I recently modded out an old AE case for a bud for christmas with all new IL parts, and it really took me back. They’re both really fun to play on and a really unique. I’m in the process of building another for myself but still up in the air about art. But yeah, it’s an extremely different feel and just adding a spring and a bat top to your jp stick won’t replicate it. Neither will jp buttons that don’t have clicky cherry microswitches. It’s really nothing close to an american arcade feel…unless your american arcade had jp sticks for some reason, lol.
I felt sure that when he put HAPPY on the screen three times he was going to highlight the HAPP part.
