That is a beautiful case and will make a beautiful controller. Some white pearl seimitsus would be just the thing.
Back in 2005 I bought this HRAP SE along with the HRAP SA via the Japanese Hori store. Since Iām not really using them anymore, I thought about selling them. How much do you guys think they are worth? Both are boxed and in good condition. I even have the big ass carton box Hori used for domestic shipping in Japan.
Iāll agree with MarkMan and meus that of all the retail arcade sticks on the world Iād want most right now is the Hori Real Arcade Pro SE (followed by the Sega Virtua Stick High Grade S-Revision, but thatās another issue). I think you could easily sell it for $300.00 plus shipping and nobody would bat an eye (rather, they SHOULDNāT).
Yes, you can sell trade the SE to me
But try meus first as he doesnāt have one yet.
You stick-collectors (stick-jockeys? ;-)) are crazy, in a good way :clapdos:
<3
Really though, I would trade a LOT of shit for another SE lol. Not sure if Iād pay $300 though.
Man if u r going to sell it put on trading outlet thread and i will buy in heart beat or trade.
For 300 thats too much i can buy hss with that money. BUt i know they are rare too.
What Markman said u can trade or sell too. Markman thanks for putting me first to buy since i know u want another SE series. It always good to have double.
But can i say those rare sticks are hell of fun collecting and hunting them down.
I agree for 300 does little too much.
Haha, sorry guys; Iām not well-versed in price ranges for rare sticks, so I just threw out an arbitrary number that was twice the retail price of a Mad Catz Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition. Please do forgive me if I said something stupid.
Also, meus, you really found a Sega Saturn HSS-0130 for $300.00? Thatās quite impressive! :clapdos:
ppl can find hss for good price but its hard. If u look around hard around u can get hell mint hss for 200 to 250 with everything box and manual.
Quick upload of my stick. This is a TE from early this year that I modded with a MC Cthulhu long ago. Finally got around to RJ045 modding this week and itās sexyyyyyy. Keep in mind Iām not a āproā modder like some of these ppl but I did a little bit of cleanup work on the inside. As much as I felt necessary.
Thanks to Toodles, Bomberman, Phreakazoid (from Chi-town) and anyone else who posted diagrams or instructions on SRK. You guys helped make this possible

Need to clean that smearing up a bit:

I never would have guessed that there was a Fryās Electronics in Georgia, let alone two of them. Interesting.
i live near duluth and its like a 30 min drive away from meā¦they are selling them for 99$ still ā¦
I can imagine that itād be tough! Thankfully for me, Iām not hunting for an HSS-0130 at the moment. Iām more of a single-player stick guy since I donāt have any friends to play with. :xeye:
Right now, Iām saving funds for a Sega Virtua Stick High Grade actually. With Hori now sporting the Vewlix layout and Mad Catz and MarkMan scheming more Vewlixy goodness with some new FightSticks, Iām hunting down the last retail stick that was a haven for Versus City layout fans and 6 button fans alike.
Iām impressed RichL! Itās very rare nowadays to see Mad Catz Arcade FightStick Tournament Editions that have been multi-console modded. Itās good to see that people still care about the good old PlayStation 2 fighters!
Seriously sick Stick Markman.
I Would LOVE to see a thread about all of your sticks. Iād like to get an eduacation in some of the rarer sticks out there.
Thanks! Iām excited to finally get into GGAC. Itās a whole new world compared to SF4 haha
To have hss u dont need to have 2p stick u can always have 1p panel that is versus city 6 button panel. Like i have Ikagi. But its true what u said save money to get vshg stick later on.
Here is my soon to be project. clean up first then put Optical joystick with ps3 wireless pcb.
I can imagine! Guilty Gear was actually what got me into the whole arcade stick scene in the first place. I owe that series a LOT. Starting with Guilty Gear X Advance Edition!
Have fun at Frosty Faustings II by the way! I SO wish I could go, but Iād have to travel about half the US to get there. :grrr:
Represent for GG!
Oh absolutely, I know that the HSS-0130 doesnāt need to have a 2 player control panel. But I canāt imagine using such a wide case for JUST 1 player you know? Especially since I personally donāt have a place where I can just set such a huge thing down and leave it be. Itās the reason why I donāt want to get a Hori Real Arcade Pro V actually! Itās huge!
And I remember that specific HSS-0130 base! I seriously donāt understand how anyone would have been dumb enough to tape it up like that in the first place, but itās definitely not something you canāt fix. One bottle of Goo Gone, a few cans of vinyl dye, and a lot of elbow grease should do the trick!
