Cheap Ps2 controller > X360 converter

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280376459498

15.74 + 5.99 shipped, cheapest i could find for new official wired 360. bought from seller in past for memory card.

not sure, ebay wasn’t bad though. from hk one week

does this work with ps3 controllers also?

I doubt it. XCM does make a converter for that, but theyre way too expensive. You’re honestly just better off getting this and buying a used PS2 controller (assuming you don’t have one, since you asked about compatibility with PS3 controllers)

So the verdict is this thing works well, eh?

Hopefully markman drops a review of both this and the one laugh has…

Blazepro adapter did not work with Rock Band 1 drums or guitar for me. Also Mad Catz Retro controller did not work either. Official Xbox 360 wired controller does work with no noticeable lag as others have reported. However when I follow the provided instructions, it says to press the center button down for 2-3 secs to sync, but it doesn’t sync that way. On my initial test over the weekend, I simply plugged the official controller into the adapter and it synced and worked off the bat. Tonight when I tested, I had to directly plug the official controller into the console first to let it sync, and then unplug it, and then plug in the Blazepro and then plug in the official one into the adapter. Only then it would re-sync. Anyone else have this problem?

no sync issues here been solid so far plugged into a Joytech Neo se 360 pad. Ive always had the 360 pad connected to the adapter first before plugging into system maybe thats your problem?

just to drop few words since I got one with my hrap2sa

its works pretty well , I didn t notice any lag or drop imput BUT I do have some bugs when I plug my TE or my official MShackedpad as 360 controller :

  • random input (home menu popup , random direction/ bouton input)

its weird because with my hori ex2 plug as controller its sound solid as rock

I ll post more later

actually you CAN unplug the 360 controller once you re sync (need to do more test )

NOTE : you MUST plug your adapter AFTER turned ON your console , if not the controller won t be detected
NOTE 2: home button is assigned on analog button, its good idea if you use a classic controller but since there is no analog button on my hrap … Im done lol (not a big deal)

There is a dealextreme converter someone give that a shot plz.

Mines been plugged in for weeks and synced every time ive powered on it just takes a little longer than a normal pad

maxshooter from DX sound bad to me and the review confirm my feelings

can you tell me what controller are you using (360/ps2) and in which position is your adapter ?

Ive done some testing and its weird

there is perfect time and bad time

I tested in sfiv training mode with display input ON and you can see random input (PPP, KKK, HK even direction … menu popup even with both controller UNplugged !)

bad shipment ? bad luck ?

Its a Joytech Neo Se 360 pad with a PSX dual shock PCB, The adapter switch is set in the joypad position it shouldnt matter but its also connected in the rear USB so i can hide it all.

thanks scottR

play all this afternoon looks fine if I follow goldenshop instructions

Connecting procedure:

  1. Turn on the XB360 console.
  2. Connect a wired official XB360 Joypad to the female USB plug of the converter.
  3. Connect the PSX2 Joypad/Dancing Mat to the converter.
  4. Switch the converter to Dancing Mat mode.
  5. Insert the USB male plug of the converter to the XB360 console.
  6. Wait for 5 seconds and switch the converter to Joypad mode.
  7. Now you can use the PSX2 controller to play.

Just wanted to chime in and thank everyone for their posts in this thread. I got my BlazePro in yesterday and haven’t experienced any screwiness with it. If there’s anything I should add let me know.

Just picked up one from this guy. Made a best offer for $8 and he took it:

Can’t wait to try it out.

anyone tried it with a namco stick or a psx digital pcb?

Thanks for pointing this out. For some reason, my last adapter purchase fell through, and I just now have had a chance to buy one. So… I put in the same offer to this guy. Looking forward to playing Marvel on something that isn’t the stock 360 controller.

I tried and it works with namco sticks.

Thanks, mine arrived today, it does indeed work great with both my namco and psx controller.
