After a stand LP xx Elec on block, i try to continue for an another one, but when i try to walk forward a bit, i eat often something like a fast normal, or a dp or something… you have the same thing ? The pushback is really big, it’s annoying for a corner pressure when you try to do it.
Just started watching, did u see the nishikin casuals?
My friend said he was really agressive with some cool setups.
Can u relate any of them for me? Im a nishikin whore, I know.
Im watching it now, tourny hasnt started yet, but I know the blanka was on the screen raping a couple fools in a row.
I saw Nishikin play about 7 games of casuals vs Dudley, Adon, Dan and someone else.
@josh, I saw nishkin do backthrow to corner, dash, whiff st.mk vs. Adon. Adon tried to wakeup tech, and the throw whiffed, and Nishikin punished. It’s just goofy looking and makes you want to hit buttons even though you don’t get up for awhile after.
Everything else I’ve seen before. Lots of aggressive jumping/focus use. He was bullying weaker players.
I hate to say it, but I thoght taku played like shit.
Jumped too much, played scared. Didnt act like the defensive wall blanka needs to be.
Especially in the end, he had the match, then jumped and it was all over.
Even worse, that ken was really good. Then uppercutted 8 times in a row against nemo. Then random ultra to seal the deal.
Double elim tournament though, least thats what i was told, so taku aint out yet!
Oops, #capcom lied, single elim. Fukin taku
Taku’s team sucked ass too. A mediocre sagat that got ass raped by yun. A decent dhalsim, that also got ass raped by yun. A fukin Adon that got raped by yun. And a ken that came back, got pretty far, should have beaten nemo, but threw it all away.
I think that demonstrates clearly that arcade ranking numbers are all bullshit.
They do not take into account what perhaps can best be described as “tournament heart.”
arcade rankings just show that they play a lot, and they are pretty decent. When nothing is on the line, they certainly can play very well.
However, tournament situations bring out the worst in any player, and especially if they are not used to the tournament experience, it doesnt matter how good the person can be, they will crack and fall apart. This most clearly applies to the Ken. He really had it, demonstrated dominance and skill, but couldnt control the nerves, and it was really obvious. The adon was simply attrocious. Im not sure about the matchup itself, adon versus yun, but Im pretty sure adon can do better than was demonstrated.
