yeah it isn’t practical, and the damage blows.
Also I wish I could play another character. I’m so terrible with everyone else. I don’t really have a feel for anyone else except boxer. It’s weird.
I have four gamertags with ‘B’ blankas and Balrogs. I used to be ok with Akuma on sf4, but hit a wall. I played Ken/Ryu in Arcades in the 90’s but the stigma/hatrid I feel for them now prevents me even touching them again. Downback ftw.
In endless match I rotate between Blanka, Viper and Ryu in order. It’s funny watching people trying to counter-pick me and then fail when I suddenly swap the order.
yeah generally people try to counterpick with boxer in endless, and I just unblockable them because they generally are too aggressive and give me chances.
If people counterpicked with Cammy I’d be a sadder man.

it’s all about time put in. boxer was my original main then i switched to blanka. Took me some time to get used to him. But gotta put the time in. My mains are boxer/blanka been working on akuma/fei long on the side.
I know. I meant when they try to counter-pick my Viper with Gief or Honda, and I switch to Ryu or Blanka. Or my Ryu with Sim and then I switch to Viper. I do much better in the Boxer match with Blanka than with Ryu or Viper anyway, so hardly anyone tries to counter-pick my Blanka with him anyway. I spent a lot of time learning that matchup. The only really pain in the ass are extreme turtle Boxers.
Yeah I know, I’m just impatient, and I feel like crap when I win 40% of the time or whatever.
It is rumored that Capcom will be doing some balance adjustments to the console version of AE. I can only hope Blanka gets at least 1 buff.
I will believe it when i see it. But everything i’ve seen suggests that will not be happening.
i was looking forward to a PP/BP reset to encourage people to start playing ranked again, i dont think it’s gonna happen. Do you think on the AE side there’ll be a reset?
I hope so. I’m in the 5kpp and i can’t get to 6kpp since no one 4k+ is on. Rare at least.
i used to get kicked out of endless when i had > 5000pp, people see that and half give up and get ready to kick esp when they see blanka. lol i didn’t finish my post!
for that reason i don’t want my blanka to have >5kpp anymore!
it’s fine here. I just go to PJS or SRK. Don’t get booted from there.

I’m not sure I wanna play AE Blanka. I’m happy with SSF4 Blanka.
bp/pp reset makes sense. I’m stuck around 4500 because of the lack of players. I got to just under 4800 a few nights ago, but then lost 3 in a row to Kurokiba after being him twice earlier.
Sucks is that with the lack of players I can’t even really work on my alts as much as I would like, and I think having 2-3 characters is more important now than ever.
the only reason i wanted 6kpp is cuz latif was up there. I have enough solid players on my friends list to get all the endless i need. That’s where i get a majority of my practice anyway.
yeah I like to play against different players though, i think variety helps. I also feel like an idiot playing new characters against people I know and getting bodied over and over, haha.
My friend’s list could always use work though, I dunno, I sort of want to have a specialist for each character on there. I have like 4 akuma’s instead.

i think the only thing i’m missing that i want is a top Sim.
A sim would be nice to have, a lot of things would be actually. I just don’t really have much to offer players I think, and a lot of players that would actually want to regularly play me, I have no interest in.
Kinda random, your advice for me vs. Sim of basically “screw the matchup” has actually me a lot recently. I just play dumb because he does no damage without super/ultra, get a random knockdown after I bait something/trade, then I just meaty him to death.
I think trying to play that matchup straight up is suicide. You only have to get lucky once in a bunch of chances, and then he’s basically free because 1 elec pushes him to the corner generally, and you are +5 after hp elec, f.hop.
I was really overthinking it. Not in my 5 toughest matches anymore.
