LOL not me, I never left. That said, I am happily shocked. That Nishikin won against a SAGAT of all characters makes it all the more amazing. I saw the vid of his performance, nothing revolutionary, just some really solid play mixed with some risky reads that paid off, and most important of all, being PATIENT and not doing crazy stuff. He’s really worked on his game since his disappointing performance at CEO where he basically beat himself. Really inspiring.

Just saw USF4 Omega Edition Exhibition at Gamestart. Some new things I observed from Blanka:
- As seen previously, You can cancel more moves from Coward Crouch, and much quicker. Think Kuma from Tekken. Saw Blanka do his Fierce Upward claw from crouch which would presumably juggle.
- You can combo one ball into another ball immediately. Not sure if it was horizontal or vertical.
- Arc of vertical call is much higher and hits multiple times.
- Electric shock seemed to have a floatier recoil when you hit and looks like you might be able to juggle.
- A blocked rainbow ball does NOT recoil bounce but continues straight down. Not sure how much recovery time you have.
Overall, while the “mole” teleport might be the flashiest new thing they give him, the viability of the move remains to be seen. I’m much more interested in all the new little tweaks they seem to have given him.
His jump arc is gross in omega
Can anyone tell what method Nishikin is using for electricity. Was trying to follow his inputs on the screen but couldn’t make it out for certain.
I do LMHLH but sometimes i hit MH together so it only counts as 4 and my inputs look like this:

I tried doing 13213, this method seems better to avoid accidentally pressing 2 together but it feels like it takes so much longer and I rarely ever can get elec out this way. Just looking to improve consistency.

Any toughts on Omega Blanka?
One thing that I noticed (and didn’t read anywhere) is that you can now do electricity (and other similar moves like Hands) with only four inputs. It seems like a good thing, but it screwed all my timings for slide
Also, some of his moves got buffs that would help regular Blanka a lot, like all his hori-balls knocking down on hit, how his rainbow roll is somewhat now usable without the stupid rebound… I mean, if Poison can have her jump-grab-move (a motion move, BTW) being completely safe on block, why can’t Blanka have the same thing on a charge move?!
Yeah blanka’s rainbow works like that in HD Remix and has faster startup and it’s not gamebreaking, it just makes it usable.
So lets talk about the cr.MK change in the latest patch!
If you’re like me, Blanka’s cr.MK change was probably your most hated change in Ultra. Because of the pushback, staple combos you had used for years would now whiff. c.MK, s.LP xx HP ball become inconsistent, counterhit c.MK, c.HK would just whiff, and even worse even though the link into Ultra was EASIER the extra pushback made nj.HK, c.MK, Ultra 1 or j.HP, c.MK, Ultra 1 whiff a lot of time. Sure c.MK, Ultra was easier in situations like red focus combos or really deep j.HK confirms, but other that that the move was a huge net nerf to the character and was way worse. Being +5 wasn’t worth it.
NOW, its 4/+4 and the pushback has been reverted. This is great! Its easily the best version of the move we’ve had yet. The original pushback and faster startup means this move has become the better footsie tool and counterhit tool we’ve wanted it to be. c.MK, c.MK xx HP ball as a combo is better now because you can do it from more ranges, c.MK is now better as a frame trap tool after blocked HP electricity, and the move is faster making it better in neutral. The only downside is that all links to Ultra are back to being 1 frame again. However, the irony is I’m more motivated to practice the 1 frame c.MK, Ultra 1 link than I ever was before because I now know I won’t get nonsense whiffs because of the dumbass pushback. What’s the point of links off c.MK being EASIER if its going to whiff more often? Everyone needs to get those c.MK, Ultra 1 links down pat though. You need them for red focus and for converting off c.MK in Neutral now.

Now in USF4, what is the best stuff to do after a blocked lvl 2 focus? cr.mk or cr.lk? close mk?

Nishikin loves to alternate between cl.MK for frametraps and cl.LK to surprise people with only 1 hit and then throw, after they start teching the LK > throw you can then do a frametrap with the new cr.MK after a blocked cl.LK
None of that works online, of course, because people will just mash DP

I’m playing this game again on PSN and damn… So much laggy ass matchs, online is just bullshit.
Overall, Blanka is cool on this version, don’t you think? Having a knock down with his ex upball/hp ball is so good, his new cr.mk is great and the +2 after a blocked focus lvl 2 is great for pressure!
I enjoy playing Elena, she is a footsies character like Blanka, she has great pokes and she has a shitty hitbox too lol.
I’m mostly playing Decapre since Ultra was released.
She still a charge character that I can use my slide (so I don’t waste what I’ve learned with Blanka) but she’s so much more fun than Blanka for me
Hitting a Psycho Sting is always so rewarding 
cr.mk ~ cr.mk is so good.
cr.lk ~ cr.mk x2 is now the best punish, forget old bnbs.
About new characters on Ultra, i really feel Rolento just beat easily Blanka. He’s a better offensive Blanka for me, however he doesn’t have anything good if he’s down. But he has better pokes, better specials (better rolling and much more interessting and safe).
I’m in love with him and now, i only see weakness of Blanka when i see him 
… I think i’m bitter about him now lol.
