Did you know that Blanka has some frames of foot invulnerability on ST on his hop ? Why they don’t give him that on SFIV ?

oh man, got raped by a Sagat player today, perfected twice. He keep staying in my face and then just do c.lk, c.lk, c.lk, then tigeruppercut. Does c.lk beat upperball? maybe its because of the lag, I can upperball him
Normal upball doesn’t have any frame of invulnerability, only the EX version.
But sometimes, you can have some random counter hits with it on strings, but hardly against a cr.lk 3 frames like Sagat… so just block.
A bit late in the game to be asking this whats the reason for ultra 1 not connecting fully and flying off to the other side? Is there a sure way to avoid this?
once you start hitting someone their hurtbox changes in size which means you can miss hits.
Best way to avoid it is to do the ultra later or more directly in their center.

When you combo into it you should get most of the hits 99% of the time unless you mistime the release.

I should probably practice regularly against good players, haha.

I don’t think Blanka beats Gief at all. it’s 5-5 at best. Like if I’m playing a gief who is going to commit to jumps or to trying to bully his way in I do really well, but Gief can play really good footsies vs. blanka since AE because of the spd buff and the ball nerf.

My sf4 pool didn’t start until I’d already been at the venue for like 9 hours, I was really tired, ended up falling asleep on the bus home. They also left us in the rain for hours as the doors opened late, casual time got cut short + the power for the sf4/st stations kept going out which made for less time, and since there was no set schedule leaving to go get food was a dicey proposition as my sfxt pool was on deck for awhile, but the previous pool ended up running for over 3 hours somehow =/.
I really didn’t have the best time.
I also think gief vs blanka is even. I’m suggesting even in missmatchups.
I didn’t get to see Ves on the stream, but I saw one horrible Blanka more than 1 time (I think his name was Alex or something) on the stream, including agains Floe.
Gosh, he was bad.

My matches got bumped from the stream. I was actually in the last set of pools. I would have played on stream for sure if I had beaten vangief.
Considering Vangief got 3rd place, you have nothing to be ashamed
