Granted, I may be wrong well and there’s probably other circumstances where you could be charged, like if they find conspiracy to maliciously infect people even if you don’t say anything to those people one way or the other. I thought more was needed, however, than just not telling people, especially given the sickening amount of people who don’t know they have an STD in general. Of course, things may be different with HIV (even though other STDs can be fatal too) or it may be one of those laws that just rarely gets enforced in all but the most egregious cases, in part because it’s something that too many people do to be actually enforceable (ugh), like using their cellular phones while driving.
Either way, it’s Charlie Sheen. Again, is anyone seriously surprised he had a serious STD at this point? The only actual surprise would be that this is the only STD he has.

Vaginal transmission of std’s in general is much lower than if a dude who has it, jizzes all up in you. Its likely he caught if from being a homo and raw dogging an hiv positive dude in the ass, or drug usage through needles with an HIV positive person, than that he was fucking some ex porn star or stripper, and she gave him HIV from hitting it raw.

I just knew it was harder for women to trasnmit std’s through vaginal intercourse if they were the ones infected. HIV seems to be even harder to pass to each other in general. (This is the first that I’m hearing about people thinking that Sheen supposedly has had sex with men, not that such things would surprise me either. Then again, given how little attention I intentionally pay to celebrities, perhaps people have thought this for some time.)
Anyway, in looking into the CDC’s reports, apparently the likelihood of catching HIV from a single act of presumably unprotected coitus as a man is only about 0.04% (like jimmy1200 apparently posted above me). Given that all sexual activity is apparently relatively low risk (or, at least, much lower than I expected), including the infamous “receptive anal intercourse” aspect that everyone seems to believe is the only way you can catch HIV at all when sex is involved, I wouldn’t be surprised if he also just caught it from a dirty needle instead since sharing one is third most likely risk. [Insert dick jokes here.]
I doubt even he knows where he caught it from though, so who knows.
It would only be unintended since Family Guy stopped being funny years ago. Otherwise, they’re not really that different, character-wise. It’s just that one exists and the other presumably doesn’t. Given how Charlie Sheen seems to think, however, it’s arguable whether (what’s left of) his mind even exists in the real world.
