I’m not gonna be able to do anything this weekend because I’m graduating TTC (Computer Science if youre curious. Yes i can repair your desktop if you fuck it up), but i’ll definantly be looking at you guys’ posts to figure out what i can do next weekend. That charleston tourney sounds fun too.

I’m also majoring in Computer Science at CSU and so far all they teach me is how to code code code and code some more…I haven’t learned how to fix hardware and I’m a senior already! I doubt they’ll teach me hardware stuff over here, I may have to learn it on my own- or not, if I don’t really need it for my job. Yes, I’m lazy

You’re going to have to be more specific than that. If the hard drive you switched to has no OS it of course won’t boot to anything.
edit: If it wasn’t booting originally something could’ve been corrupted/overheating/hard drive could’ve gone bad/etc. It could be a lot.
If the HD did have an OS installed, then it could be the BIOS settings weren’t configured for the new stuff.
Like Duffy said, could be a whole bunch of things.
What have you done to troubleshoot the computer? Give some info on the problem like any changes you made to it, who was using it, what they were doing, when was the last time it worked and were there any errors or anything you noticed that might help figure out what’s going on with the PC.
I think computer science is pretty much programming as far as the university is concerned. Of course the subject of computer science covers all aspects of computers. If you want to learn PC troubleshooting and support get Comptia’s A+ certification. Microsoft’s MCDST covers it as well. The only downside to microsoft certs is that they expire.

SF4 is destroying peoples timing. By the time kofXII hits we are all going to be so used to slowly dialing in combos that kof is gonna seem like it’s light speed. 
KOF looks really action packed. It always has been, but never at a respectable resolution. The fact that it has a thousand characters doesn’t hurt the game either. Kevin your gonna have to break us all in with a kof basics course since your the only person who has played it seriously and consistantly plus you know most of the characters.
Ryan, Robert has always been fun to play with. Robert, Ryo and Kyo have always been a good team for me. I think we are going to see a ton of Andy Bogarts. He hasn’t been in the game since America seriously touched Kof back in 94 I think it was. I always hear the old school players complaining about that.
Kevin is the only person in the US that plays KOF.
