I don’t think I did the sleeves right. I’m kinda fighting what I know with what I see because I know his sleeves will dangle beyond his elbows but i keep seeing his arms being too long.
No… Gen’s sleeves are fine… But you did miss out on the drape thingy that hangs out in front of him… Otherwise, it looks totally good!..

Look at them hues on Rose, that shit is crazy. That Gen’s comin along very well, but his nose is slightly too pink.
Seba and Hanzou’s got some kickass Roses too. 4neq’s Zang had me bustin up in chibi-form!
DFist: Great job reworking that Rose. That Gen is lookin good too. Interesting to see a kind looking Gen. On the pic I’m working on, he looks like a straight up murderer, haha. I think my main critique is that the shadows on his clothes look just a little darker than they need to be, and that his fingers look kind of stiff. Maybe spread the fingers a bit. Did a quick google search. This might help: Click
4neqs: Pretty amusing picture. I like how Gief is all happy to be wrestling the bear, and the bear just looks annoyed. It looks a little rushed and unfinished. I’d be interested to see a more long term drawing sometime to see what you can do 
Seba: Good lookin Gen. You captured his face well. I think his head is just a little bit too big for his body, but that perspective is really difficult to do, and you got it pretty close.
Yeah, I’ll field a finished or better one as the entry for Zangief week. ^^;

haha, yeah after I was done I thought the hands looked kinda stiff. the holes on the flute aren’t that close togehter. When I did the pre-drawing i just block his hands so they turned out like that lol.
Thanks for noticing it. I also messed up on the placement of the flute. It’s sitting too low for him to be able to blow on it.
Seba: thats a good pose and angle! CW already addressed the head issue. I see that you’re going for the extreme perspective here. One of the thing that I think makes his head looks big is his shoulders are too narrow. If you widen them up a bit it should balance it out. If you cover up his head, his body looks pretty normal.
Dan Soul calibur: Pretty good looking Gen man. Crane style coming for ya ass. I would crop the pic so there isn’t so much negative space however.
haha…actually SC stand for snk and capcom…anyway thanks for the compliment…i know my art still shit compare to you guys :)…and looks like im gonna contribute my drawing into this to keep the competition hot…

DanSC: I’d say that’s pretty good. Try varying your lineweight more, and use some more details to help form the legs. Post me your info for the participating artists list.
rook: Holy crap, dude, that’s awesome. Only thing I have to say is to try and vary your hues more, and to consider some cast shadows. His arm and belt should probably be casting shadows on him.

Lots of great work so far. Rook’s Gen is awesome. Something about the hand motion that makes it stand out among the rest.
I like CHAiNwhore’s Gen too. Without the blood version. You can see the nice motion of his beard/shirt folds clearer.
And special mention goes to greyhoundbus. Best Zangief EVER.:bgrin:
