Whenever I see that the last hit of Sunflower Lance is going to whiff, I tag in my next character for extra damage! Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho!
usually that’s a good thing to do especially to keep up the momentum.

Lili and the lab…
It’s important for any lili player aspiring to play her to spend time in the training room aka the lab. If you don’t spend time in the lab you probably won’t know which of her normals really work and don’t. Its a place where once can practice spacing to help improve their footsies game. Its where i spend most of my time creating set ups and testing them against a 3 frame move.
Sometimes i spend time working on combos and then begin to experiment set up after combos.
All i’m saying is this fellas, spend some time learning your character and team. 2013 Lili has some new tools and i would hope most of you are jumping into the lab head first trying to learn as much as you can. To become a good Lili requires this and if you don’t do it then you’ll hit a plateau and more than likely drop the character.
Also go into the lab with a goal in mind. If you’ve been dropping combos in real matches you need to practice up those combos or find an alternative combo that leads to more damage or a nice juicy set up.
If a character is giving you trouble have the dummy do the things you have problems with and see how Lili can react to it.
I can’t emphasis on how much being in the lab is important to your growth as a Lili player. The more time you spend the better. Don’t just sit there and watch a vid of my combos and be like, i can do that look at me. It’s like the old saying goes, practice makes perfect.
Straight up true! I probably spend more time in the lab than I do actually fighting. I think the latter could be my downfall since I rarely get as much match-up experience as I would like to due to studies which are going to become MUCH harder as this year progresses.
That said, I’m still going to find time to practice as well as find some good match-up experience online. Starting to control my nerves a little better too thanks to @Songi’s and other people’s tips.
I gotta ask you though. I asked this before, in the Lili thread but I didn’t get a reply so:
Do you know the timing for doing EX Knee to beat cross-ups? If I try it, I tend to either get EX Rabbit or Knee but in the wrong direction o_O. It’s been said somewhere I think that you can auto-correct her EX Knee to beat cross-up attempts.
Ex knee has 13 frame inv. If wait for auto correct them u will be okay.
Yo…I’m new to this, but I figure I’d throw some of these things out there and see what others say. If there is a way to maximize damage or lower meter usage please let me know.
Someone help me out with Angel Knee xx CR.HP. I get it like 48% thanks.
As they’re floating down, press HP.
Lili can make Zangief’s Lariat whiff on his wake up as a reversal attempt. She gets a free punish afterwards. I’m fact, she can stuff or all together with cross up MK Dive Kick. It won’t even come out as she will hit him.
Been playing Ibuki/Lili as my main team
Fun as hell and so much mix up potential
That said, I need to learn some OS and Safejumps with Lili since I have her as Anchor
