The daughter of a world-famous oil czar. She has a haughty, arrogant attitude
but also has a penchant for fighting. Thus, when she finds the time, she
engages in street fights. She suffered a bitter defeat at the hands of Asuka
Kazama in a tournament and since then Lili has viewed her as a rival. For the
sake of her father, she teams up with Asuka to retrieve the mysterious box
located in the Antarctic.

Damage Scaling:
Lili is subjected to a lot of damage scaling due to her extended combos. You will want to try to find out a combo to maximize the damage output. Avoid using her Tekken Links and chains and replace them by linking normals such as mediums or hards.

Damage scaling works like this.
100%, 100%, 80% 70% … 10%

Your first two attacks will do 100% of its damage output. Following attacks after the first two hits in a combo will be reduced by 10% for each attack starting on 80%. So in other words your 3rd attack will do 80% of its damage and your 4th will do 70% of its damage and so on. Once you reach 10% all attacks after that will continue doing 10% of its damage output.

With this, try to open up with a jumping hard kick into a standing hard punch, This should give you the best possible damage with the two hits.

Combo Varations:
Ending with LP Dendrobium nets you a safejump setup against Quick Standing Reversals, but does slightly less damage. Simply hold forward jump and attack with j.HK or j.MK.

Starting combos with c.LK after a hitting Divekick does less damage, but gives you more time to confirm stand/crouch state and adds a low hit at the beginning.

Waste your meter for Super/Team Super:

[LEFT]Lili needs to be defensive. Her Andante is one of the best anti-airs in the game. It seems to have an invincible hitbox coming from the top so you dont need to worry about hits being traded. So use it on people jumping in. Get in with [f.MK-HP] Its a safe pressure move. If you land [f.MK-HP] you can link into Bedtime. Always Poke with Light punches and crouching mediums. j.MK and j.HK are your two jumping overheads. j.HK being instant.[/LEFT]

Proficiency Lv. 1: Cross Gauge Usage Reduction +10%, Connect with 3 special moves for 20 seconds. I think this is going to be very useful for lili depending on how her EX sunflower dance + tag cancel can be used.

Yeah the recommended gems sections are just sample gems that you could use. I don’t really recommended to use meter gems on her because she gains meter pretty fast.

Gems were put in the game to fit the playstyle of each individual user. There isn’t a best gem build or anything. If you play offensively take up the Immense power gems. If you play low health character try out the vitality gems. If you play characters with already high vitality try putting on defensive gems on them. If you need speed gems on slower characters, go ahead and do so.

Ending combos with qcf+LP instead of qcf+LK gives you the benefit of a safejump against quick stand reversals.

Hold forward jump after qcf+LP and do a late j.MK or j.HK. Depends on your position and the character you do it on.

Did you notice we both were saying Sunflower “Dance” instead of the correct term, Sunflower Lance. Haha

I think if they try to roll away, you can do an EX Divine Step, Since it tracks. Do it after a hard knock down and time it accordingly

I dont think thats a good move to punish a backroll. I’d use it more for punishing full screen fireballs or something since it causes a hard knockdown you can setup a mixup afterwards.

If you see a backroll. I’d just do her Penguin kick into MP and that leaves you relatively safe on block if they do.

I’ll have to try it man.

I have to admit, EX Divine Step is not that good against rolls. Its not safe on block I suppose and sometimes it just lands on the rolling, invincible Hitbox. Its weird.

Might I recommend Rufus as a good partner?

He is a bit of a meter hog, but his heavy tornado can lead into an extended combo and it is very easy for him to get hits, so you wont have to resort to raw tagging very often. Plus he is a great character in general.

Anyway. I’ll post here on match ups that give lili a hard time. I don’t like ryu and i hate his shoto fireball ass. His buttons are too good. GRRR!
In regards to someone backdashing on wake up. You can empty jump and os a sweep if they backdash. You can also do the sweep from her spin. lk and mk are good options for those trying to back dash and jump away (Mk does a great job of stuffing jump aways). It comes to seeing what you opponent does and making a good read.

As well as the person who made the matchups thread and the video thread

Mainly I’ve been having problems with getting in with her and figuring out frame traps/good pressure. Right now im running Poison + Lili, and poison seems to build a considerable amount of meter for Lili to utilize but once shes in its all hell. Also, if someone crosses up somehow/ alters their jumpin, Andante recovery just leaves me open, and counter just gets destroyed if not timed to precision.

And yes, Ryu has been giving me problems like crazy. It just feels like so many characters have considerably safe rushdown compared to Lili.
