[Character Guide] The Lili De Rochefort Walkthrough (w/ Combos/Strategy/Matchups/Videos/Frame Data)

Is the Lili in that vid above meant to look like Kanade, or it coincidence?

Also, Lili is probably the only character that I have got worse at the more I practice with her. For some reason I cannot help but try stupidly flashy, inefficient combos with her :expressionless:

Finally someone noticed yeah itā€™s supposed to be Kanade from Angel Beats I love that anime so I tried to make Lili look like Kanade I hope I did a good job.

Itā€™s ok trying to get flashy sometimes as long as your doing good damage while your getting fancy itā€™s fine in my opinion I approve of flashy combos.

Yeah, you did a pretty decent job. I immediately tried to replicate it with not so much success T_T
Going to stick with my black/neon blue Lili outfit/hair.

The problem with me and flashy combos, is I always fuck them up. So, itā€™s not so fine :stuck_out_tongue:

One of my simpler ones is J.hp, c.hp xx EX Dendro, lk ak, c.HP xx lk sunflower (All hits).

Itā€™s a respectable 439 damage if it all connects, but half the time I drop the combo on the angel knee. Donā€™t suppose anybody has advice for anything easier to land than lk AK after the EX dendro?

dash up and do lk ak. You can buffer the motion while you are dashing.

Sorry, probably a complete noob question, but I really canā€™t figure out where Iā€™m going wrong here.

I cannot get the first angel knee to go through. The only thing I can combo into after the c.HP are launcher, EX moves and her super art. Was this is a mistake in the written combo or am I doing something wrong? o.o

Omg JACK Xā€™s j.rh hits so deep it trades with andante, just a fair warning.

That guyā€¦scares me. I mean I ainā€™t got the DLC guys yet but the damageā€¦the ways he can pretty much steamroller through keepaway and now andante trading?

Currently the only things I struggle with whilst playing with her is taking pressure but thanks to you guys Iā€™m starting to adapt a bit more by alpha countering out of ā€˜safeā€™ moves to Lili.

On a side note though I am struggling with pulling off the following combo consistently:

cr./st.HP xx LK Angel Knee > cr.HP xx HP Dendrobium > Super

The problem for me is that sometimes getting the Super after the HP Den can be a little tricky for me, the super tends to whiff more than it hits.

Any advice?

Well IMHO I never use super. Most comboā€™s she can land with meter often end up doing more damage than super and leaves you with excellent options for your oki. Also cr./st.hp has no range so trying to hit confirm off of that seems a bit unreliable. Instead of super end with peacock paltz. or after the LK knee>cr.hp xx ex feistyrabbit > rabbitā€™s thorn> peacock waltz. You might end up with a little less damage, but the set up you get in exchange is far more important.

hit him high. which means do it asap and see how much they are hovering afterward. the opponent should be around liliā€™s head range. After the hado motion to den buffer into super arts.
best way to practice this is do it in the corner. do this combo to practice it okay. Then after you master it in the corner you should get an idea how to do it outside of it.
Cr.mp>lk angel knee> cr.hp> hp. den> super arts
Has to be done in the corner. You could also do it outside of the corner. same combo but you dash up and do lk angel knee and follow the same combo above.

I donā€™t know why but I just like to use Liliā€™s Super from time to time when I feel like styling on someone to finish them off in style. Itā€™s the same reason as to why I always go for Midscreen Misogis and Demons with Akuma. It just feels satisfying to land in a real match.

Usually it gets me salty messages like: ā€œFucking bimbo charā€ or ā€œUr a cht u canā€™t land Misogi from der!ā€ maybe itā€™s just me but it makes me want to land stuff like that more. Not only for personal achievement but like to laugh at the idiot (who is most likely a grown adult) get annoyed at what you have done to them. You would think that someone grown up wouldnā€™t have to resort to childish comments like these.

I will admit that sacrificing damage for her amazing oki game is well worth it in the long run though.

Honestly, I find pandora more useful than her super. One bar gets gets me 70% damage and gives the opponent the ā€œWTF DID i JUST GET HIT BY?ā€ factor

I was bored so I just made this not that damaging but it does 356 with 1 bar but itā€™s just for style anyway

How do you guys feel about hit confirming the st.jab> cr.fierce link? I recently remembered I could do that, and I figure this has good potential for opening up characters that like to down back(cr.fierce forces stand on hit). Think this is worth getting down? Iā€™m glad I remembered that this was possible.

st lk into any of the medium buttons.
so when you do stand jab into cr hp you shouldnā€™t have too many issues linking that attack.
I really donā€™t use it as often because cr.hp is -2 and iā€™d rather not be minus that much because it stops liliā€™s pressure game pretty quickly.

I suppose it is good in the fact that most of time I tend to land my F.MK > MP Strings on crouching opponents. Which leads to me burning meter where I really shouldnā€™t. Itā€™s bad because I donā€™t seem to implement some stuff with her in my matches because I simply forget like using St.MK and LP Counter as anti-airs.

Besides even if the cr.HP is blocked you can still cancel it into a Den to make it (somewhat) safe on block.

I mean you could use ex den or ex sunflower because both are + on block.
