Yeah I came from the Tekken camp but I have been a street fighter player for 3 years now but I always will love Tekken
My favorite Tekken game was Tekken 5 and Tekken 3 man I love those games and I’m pretty rusty with Lili in Tekken 6 I’m going to have to start training again so I can be ready for tag tournament 2.
I’d say her Tekken counterpart is better but that’s coming from a biased position, lol. That said, of the Tekken characters I’ve played in SFxT so far, she does feel pretty comparable to her Tekken-self and also feels like one of the more “complete” characters in this game - in all, she’s pretty awesome.
The meter requirements kinda hurt though. XD
Tekken 5 is still my favorite of the series, and one of my favorite games of all time. Im playing this and Tekken 6 right now, waiting for TTT2 (I’ll be playing only TTT2 and SFxT seriously).
And same here man, my Lili in Tekken is ass right now. Going to have to hit up Zaibatsu and LUYG, and start re-learning that frame data.
That’s awesome dude I’m also reading up on frame data in Tekken 6 and training so good luck dude I can’t wait for TTT2 to come out I might just drop SFXT all together so I can focus on TTT2 when it releases. but Tekken 4 has the best music in my opinion
Hmm… I can’t necessarily argue with this, pretty much all Tekken music is pure excellence. My sentimental favorite is Tekken 3’s soundtrack but T5 is phenomenal as well.
I hear ya though… I like this game a lot so I can’t drop it! XD But after my ass-kicking yesterday, I’m ready to go HAM in TTT2!

Anyone know the match up on Nina? Her footsies are better that Lili’s, and that kinda make it hard to get in on her.

I know alot about the Ogre match up
I know of some tactics against Ogre as I have fought a couple good ones before online.
Ogre has some good long range pokes but the problem with them is that they are pretty slow so you can interrupt them with your cr.MK or Forward + MK > MP String.
Ogre’s pressure game is also good with his charge cancels and quick dash although on block a Close Standing HP xx Indigo Punch > Dash on block is unsafe on block. You can Reversal LK Angel Knee out of there into a free combo.
I also forgot about his Demon Slayer String which is a frametrap against your st.LP I believe, you can LK Angel Knee in between the final 2 hits of the string.
If he doesn’t finish it and just goes for the first two hits then it is still unsafe on block. Punish with cr.MK or cr.MP (your Angel Knee’s won’t reach at this distance however but you can still go into a Sunflower Lance or EX Den. This will only work if he performs the string deep though.
His Snake Blade Target Combo (Down + LK > Down + MK > Down + MK) is safe to your stuff including your Super so I wouldn’t bother trying to punish it on block. Some Ogre Players go into autopilot mode though and try to continue the combo to try and catch you if you try to punish with his Hunting Hawk String (Up-Forward + LK > MK > LK.) Block it whilst crouching as the second hit of the string misses on crouching opponents and punish him on the way down (more often than not he’ll be on the other side of you once he finshes.)
Once Ogre realises he can’t win in the poking war (or if your opponent gets real desperate) he will try to get in on you quickly with his Owl’s Hunt, its an overhead so block it high and punish it on block. I believe its st.HP punishable on block just to give you an idea.
I would recommend a rushdown style against Ogre as he is pretty slow up close. With his jabs lacking range up close plus he has a big hitbox so you can make your cross ups ambigious if you want.
His ‘Get-Off Me’ moves are kinda of ‘meh’. Mix up your rushdown between high and low often as he may want to try and catch you with his Ancient Power (Light or Medium Versions) for a counter if you get too predictable or do a Heavy Version also to stop your pressure (all of which are horridly unsafe on block). Outside of that he has his Hunting Hawk String which can be ducked and punished as mentioned before and his Super. Bait those out if you can and punish accordingly.

Also does Angel Knee have a practical use outside of combos?
Yeah it can be used sometime as a Anti Air and it can punish alot of your opponents unsafe moves like Ryu’s HK Donkey Kick if i’m correct I will go check it out. it’s also a very good move off of a tag cancel or a launcher but that’s all I can think of

I’m not so sure about it being a reliable anti air, as it can often trade with moves that have good active frame properties. Although there are times where a successful hk angel knee would come out instead andante; that could be used as a sort of os but i’d have to look into it more. I had no idea it can could be used raw as a punish. =/
I also I have some matches I would like to upload showing off Lili’s incredible vortex mix up potential. However I don’t think laptop cam is suited for the recording job
