Chaos Code - AOU exhibition with SEGA

I just watched this video. The boss character at 7:00 looks way cool. I hope he’ll be balanced and playable. Seems like a very annoying zoning character with his zombie puppets coming out of portals all over the screen.

Thanks for the story translations. lol @ Hermes being an announcer and Bravo’s plot synopsis. Wouldn’t be surprised if Catherine turned out to be a trap.

Ugh, I don’t particularly like any of the characters. :frowning:

I guess I’ll have to actually see how they play before deciding on one, lol.

I’ll prolly end up with Rui. She’s got a lot of things I like about a character, but for some reason, as a whole, I wasn’t impressed. :frowning:

i’m really looking forward to this.

I like pretty much all of them with a few exceptions. I may as well post my impressions.

Hikaru: Normally I associate fighting game protagonists with Ryu and avoid them like the plague, but Hikaru actually seems rather cool. He has a nice fighting style and looks like a pretty solid character overall. I probably won’t play him but I don’t NOT like him.

Kagari: I really like her design. Part mecha, part ninja. I’d say she could be one of my favourites just for the cool factor.

Cathrine: I definately think it’s a man, but I really like the premise behind this character. And the cosplaying shenanigans remind me a lot of Super Gem Fighter, which was a game I used to love.

Bravo: He has some charm. I’ll have to see what kind of character he is before I’d say I like him though. His moves seem humorous and that’s something I know I’ll enjoy, but if he’s too much of a typical Zangief grappler I don’t think I’ll be too pleased with his playstyle.

Cerberus: he doesn’t interest me much. I guess there just isn’t anything too unique about his design, and I haven’t seen enough of his moveset to figure out if I like him or not. He has bear traps, so that could be fun.

Hermes: I don’t like her at all. Her boobs are shaped like radishes and her playstyle just doesn’t appeal to me. It seems like there will be more interesting summon/zoning characters in this game. (Cathrine, Boss character 1)

Celia: I think she’s pretty cool. Very Mech. Hisui. I like how glowy her moves are. I’ll probably give her a look. Some of her animations are a bit poor though.

Cait + Sith: Another favourite of mine. I just love 2-in-1 characters and not only are these two cute, but they also LOOK interesting. They operate differently to your normal team character fare, with Cait following Sith closely most of the time, and him actually using her as a weapon as opposed to just getting her to attack. Although it looks like he lacks range on his own. I’ll bet these two have mad pressure once they get you in a corner. Their character designs are nicely done too.

Vein: He is basically Kanda from D.Gray-man with a laser sword. I’m not too fond of him as a character but his playstyle looks good. From the look of things he’s gunning for high tier by default right now, but it could just be that everybody was playing him a lot in the playtests.

Rui: She’s a create-a-character from Soul Calibur 4 with Talim’s moveset. I like tonfas but her playstyle looks rather boring to me. Not much else to be said here.

Boss character 1: don’t know his name yet, but he looks really cool. Some kind of Sephiroth wannabe who summons mutating zombies out of portals. Seems much more of a pure zoning character than Hermes.

I’m pretty hype for this game.

That is all.

Rui and Bravo look very cool. Looking forward to this game.

You can see a SD version of Celia in the picture at http://www.fkdigital.net/fkd_ch/news_ch.htm.

oh joy :annoy:

… updated with what?

The more I see of this game the more I’m hyped. Its nice to see a fresh 2D fighter from a new developer.

Or two PR24s. A type of police baton.

So do we ever find out the results of the location test?

Wtf, FKDigital is based in Australia? I would have thought this was all distinctly Japanese.

that’s actually kind of interesting.

It shows how pervasive this animu nonsense is.

reminds me of an SNK boss…not sure which one though

pervasive? I think it’s awesome. But then again, I do love my animu.

Besides, Australia is part of the Asia-pacific anyway.

The system link on the site was updated.

So it looks like you select your super ala SF III? Interesting.
